Best one i've had was an icom, but the drivers never understood it too well... They never read the manual.
Uniden is okay, GME is okay too.
They take the guess work out of driving. basically everything "as above" +1
in 5 years of deep water crossings on Cape York, i've not had any trouble with the standard set up. The donaldsons are noisy, not something we wanted on our trucks, we had donaldsons on the 639's on Fraser. Worked well, but noisy...
LOL, seems you have been burnt mate, FYI the Daily is RWD, not front. Ferrari is part of FIAT.
We have had similar issues here with Mercedes v's Toyota. I'm still a fan of the Daily 4x4, but wouln't buy one for commercial off road use.
Thanks for the heads up.
+1, I disagree with Kym on the 17's, we had them on the isuzu's on Fraser and they were nothing when compared to the 255/100 R16's.
I'd pick the latter any day, but if you're not carrying serious weight on RGVM maxxed out, then i'd definitely go Alloy before steel.
We all have our own opinions...
Hey Rick,
The holes get bigger over time, and even if you buy new ones, they will fall out
On Fraser, i would keep them off and as John mentioned, flush every day.
On Cape york vehicles, I would put just a dab of water based neutral cure adhesive to keep them on (idiots like to do high speed...
Ahhh, anything is possible... just depends how far you want to go.....
EVERYONE laughed at me when we built aluminium bodies for off road work, now they are still going almost 8 years old...
