I don't mean to say that desulfation is snake oil because it isn't. The standard recovery that @luthj mentions does help and its essentially what a reputable manufacturer would recommend for a recovery. There's also research that pulsed current is beneficial in preventing and to some extent...
I ran a PulseTech for about two years.

I found no discernible difference between two PC1400 batteries purchased at the same time, one being a group 25 and the...
Other than perhaps not taking it to 10 V that's what I'd do. I don't have a meter that needs to be calibrated though and I don't feel it's really giving much value below about 11 V or so to bother stressing a battery doing that. If you successfully test to 85% I think it's safe to assume it's...
Black Bear is legitimately hard enough I like having a good skid plate. As much as anything just so you don't have to constantly worry about working too far over on the shelf just to avoid stuff.
That's of course the subject nature I suppose since Forest Service "roads" vary from not needing anything more than passenger car on M+S tires to a buggy on 37" tires. Having the stock splash plates might even be worse in that they give a false sense of security that they'd protect anything.
His profile says Elgin, IL
I don't think there's much dispute about that.

AGM vs gel vs lithium vs flooded is a separate question but in a generic situation I'd take customer service and recognized brand. The Duracell is actually AGM and Sam's is known so the risk and expected performance are better known variables.
I think Ultra is the regular East Penn line and the Platinum is probably built specifically for Walmart/Sam's. It's not unusual that the big resellers like Walmart can lean on suppliers to make something for them, usually to meet a price point but sometimes it has unique feature. I'd probably...
It just means it's not very good at either, mostly being a less good deep cycle. But on the flip side using it in a pinch won't ruin it either. AGM by its nature is very unlikely going to be a true deep cycle and gel by their nature aren't going to be suitable for starting. There's a lot of...
That Duracell looks to me exactly like a West Marine branded AGM I used to run my ham radio station at home for years. It was made by East Penn, no complaints. The VMAX is pretty surely a gel, max current of 35 A for a 125 A-hr capacity. It might be the better choice on paper if you never...
Just my $0.02 but based on what I've found I wouldn't trust the factory skid plates if you find you need low range often. Like I say, it's not the front one with the two braces behind it but the one under the diff that I think is the concern.
I have sliders and an IFS skid plate that replaces the two factory TRD stamped ones in front and under the engine. I have not installed anything under the transmission or transfer case (yes, my cross over pipe is partially smashed).
The sliders have a few dings and scrapes, a couple I know...
Mistaken, perhaps. AGM has a lot of marketing value.
"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. But don't rule out malice."
Do you mean just a standard build kit? I'm pretty sure all the 7.5" clamshell differentials are interchangeable. I'd call ECGS or Marlin personally.

I think the ones you're linking are all gel and not AGM. Both are non-spill, which is the main legal criteria due to handling and shipping. The other distinctions between gel and AGM get blurred by the marketing department.
The tell is that they give a current limit. One of the limitations...
I don't have first hand experience with Weize or Windynation brand batteries but my guess is they're probably made under a contract and it's likely East Penn/Deka or Johnson Controls. I wouldn't pay a premium anyway.
The Renology Rover has a profile for lithium so you should be fine. The Rover I think does handle charging gel so make sure to use the right profile, the various types must use the correct one (e.g. don't use gel for AGM or vice versa).
It's likely you're under charging the truck battery, too, just that you don't notice since it's not being asked to work as hard. Installing an AGM in the truck won't change anything except make your wallet lighter.
You need to be more aware of how you're charging your batteries and in...
