If it is at all decent I'll make two and figure out a way to get it over to you here, there, or Dubai! I'm going to end up over in Mussafah wandering the metal shops I think.

Prospeed roof rack; major component culmination
Rack was delivered today, took me about 45min to install solo but I have to say it is an extremely well engineered piece of kit for this platform. Lightweight, strong, and with shockingly great tolerances given that we're talking about fitting to...
It was at the time, I told them that was a no-go as I didn't want it vibrating on the paint. Now it has a few mm seperation from the door. That said as it gets some other adjustments made I'm going to have them take it off and just put a stop in on the pivot + potentially on the rest where the...
In this case it as a cheap Chinese bar I picked up at the most excellent place in the world; DragonMart in Dubai. I figured at the cost, probably like 100AED or something (i.e. $27), it was worth trying out.
12" LED light bar
Decided that I wanted to see what a 12" light bar would look like in comparison to the Hella 4K compacts. Overall I think it flows better with the vehicle and given how good the HID headlights are at casting light far the LED bar's shorter range flood coverage (even...

The same company that made my front bumper and the tube slider/steps, Icon-auto in Dubai, did the tire carrier. At some point I'll post more comprehensive pictures of it-there are elements I like and elements that are infuriating given the guidance I gave to the fabricators, some of which...
Fascinating, they must have been who bought out Kexby...I say that b/c the website is nearly identical-and the 5 speed D1 with the tan covers is, well, mine.
Great pics and write up, having a fabricator do all this as we speak (and after losing my mind on them yesterday for failing to do what I asked) I really like what you've done.
Spring Break 2016 Part II
Continuation from the week in pictures. Love the views in the mountains
My D3's companion continues to perform very well as a working utility vehicle
The week also saw the return to the range for the kiddos, mostly give the eldest some time on .22's and an...
Spring Break 2016; Part 1
My love affair with Coyote continues as I got back to the US for a week to spend my kiddos spring break with them. Likely the last time I'll have to make short term trip back, its tough not to look forward to the end of the current assignment and a return to a more...
For light duty I'd suggest electrical conduit, a pipe bender, and a lot of beer. While it would be most elegant welded together since it is aluminum that may well be out and you can clamp or bolt it together. I'd do this before going with lumber.
More than that, I'd keep an eye on craigslist...
Economy of scale makes it better...well, no it doesn't...lust for the rack overcame the significant cost of shipping (be glad you are in the US, Abu Dhabi was ~200 GBP more!). I should have added on other things but I don't really need the compressor guard anymore so much of it was moot.
Seems like he did a great job with his LR4. I told the shop to not actually install the tank for the moment, I'm going to ship it back this summer and do it myself back in the US. Between not having the gauge, and not wanting to toy with it prior to her going on a boat (where she needs to be...
My 96 (w/97 or 98 seats in the front, and RRC in the back) currently has Kexby canvas but I think those are NLA given the ending of production. If you look at the build thread ('Coyote' in my sig line) you can see those along with the cabela covers I used before going canvas, for budget covers...
Hardware rec'd; great timing since I'm back to spend a week with the kiddos so I'll hand carry it back...along with this, bc Land Rover owners always check a wheel in as baggage to make the spare match since the tire is going on the back as we speak.

I think it's good how we all feed off each other's builds. I tend to follow a well worn path on the Internet and this forum is the one I've found for D3/D4 inspiration in North America-D3.uk, AULRO and such are all excellent but the diesel availability makes me jealous!
Was it this thread: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/133932-Discovery-4-LR4-Auxiliary-Long-Range-Tank
Very informative and was part of my research; not to mention the gauge/switch he has is what I want for mine.
Works with petrol or diesel, according to Front Runner...and in terms of working with an NAS LR3, we're about to find out!
*My only caveat is that I should have planned better and gotten a Long Ranger fuel gauge/pump switch as I ordered this so I hit up ARB Emirates to see if they can get me...
Instructions are here: http://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/za/front-runner-80l-additional-fuel-tank-land-rover-discovery-lr3-lr4.html#tab
(under installation, though I believe what's hanging on the website is incomplete given that Front Runner has a feeder pump that moves fuel from the aux...
