do you know if these are made specifically for a vehicle? ie was this made just for a ford 6.5' bed or will it work on a RAM with 6.4 bed? I asked fwc but have not heard back.
my neighbor has a new 250 lariat with the 7.3 and 4.30 gears and he gets about 50% better than that. I did a 400 mile round trip with him to pick up a topper and driving the speed limit in Montana round trip missoula to greatfalls and hand figured 14.6mpg which matched his computer exactly.
i like the convenience and ease of running the thin cable out my door with no issues of squishing or damaging it. I run it under the pillar door seal up to the top of my truck. I couldn’t do that with thicker cable. I need to find a comm shop to see if they can shorten it to 10’ probably would...
this is way over my head lol. I do know with my little 5w MXT105 does really well. My buddy also has the same one and we can talk when we are both in our driveways and probably at least 6 miles as the crow flies with a city between us. I would love a shorter wire tho as the way I run my...
has anyone found a good passage thru the firewall on these? Most rigs have some place without drilling but not seeing any where to run wires without drilling. thanks
my buddy's is coming along. he leveled the front and put a 2" block in the back. I helped put a Warn bumper on last week. compared to oem it is a monster and easier than we thought it would be to install for two old beat down drunks.
Fed ex and they were the cheapest. Shipped in two boxes. Each wheel in its original box then two of those placed in a heavier box. I would not trust shipping them just in the original individual box as they will get beat up As those boxes are light weight
I emailed Midland and asked and they said it was ok to just cut however much off I needed. This was for the antenna that comes with the MXT105. I asked if I would have to check the swr and the said no.
I just shipped a set of saltas and it was $258.74 from 59808 to 18302 just to give you an idea of shipping charges. obviously bozeman to Colorado should be a little cheaper.
my buddy that works on them for a living says the dial is less problematic on warranty returns. I suppose less linkage to deal with. I know I never have to look at mine and I have the mind of a rusty trap lol. I have to ask my wife how to start the dishwasher every time.....
