Thanks, Chip. Dunno what I'm mis-remembering -- probably the wifi-based approximate location stuff. The GPS is integrated into the mobile wireless chipset then, yes? Makes sense, because there's been so much design work done there already.
I can't count the number of times I've used the GPS...
I believe all iPads have GPS capability. I've found wifi+3G on my original iPad has been a useful combination. I don't always have an active wireless month, but depending on where and how much I'm travelling the ability to connect when needed through 3G has been extremely useful.

I have an Eye-Fi SD card in my little Canon Powershot SD870is walking-around camera, and it's proven to me how convenient wifi uploading can be. My Eye-Fi isn't the full internet kind -- just links to my home network, but it works great to get copies of all my images onto my PC hard disk. It's...
The 6D seems like an interesting option.
Full frame -- near same size as 5D mk ii. Smaller body overall, although with some polycarbonate in addition to magnesium. Built in wifi and GPS, a nice point for me. SD card only, my preferred format. Maybe not quite the autofocus system of the 5D...
The writeup drew big conclusions about quality levels between manufacturers in the sub $30,000 class, promoting some and dinging others, with zero supporting information. An opinion is fine, but it has to be supported with facts.

A BBC report on this notes New York photographer Clayton Cubbit posted on his account that the new policy represents Instagram's "suicide note". That seems about right to me.
Facebook was kinda fun to connect with elementary school friends and distant cousins. Beyond that, I don't get it...
As my Dad used to say... "we're not rich enough to afford cheap tools".
HF has it's role -- cheap, disposable tools. A piece of recovery gear is not the time to get cheap. Lesson learned, eh?

I've been wearing a Barbour Border for about twenty years. Enough to see it go in and out of fashion several times. I have other coats, sure, but none that I reach for a fraction as often as the Barbour and none that are remotely close in durability.
X2 on Jonathan's comments above -- go with...
Sharp, sharp blade the best for cutting rubber. Good scissors or shears might surprise you with how well they work. I use ex-laboratory cork borers to cut holes in rubber sheet. These razor sharp tubes cut perfectly. Try a leather punch to make the holes -- you'll get a lot better result...
Great old video, and informative, too.
The company that produced it, Theiss Toyota, were apparently the original importers of Toyota into Australia, and went on to full company ownership and control in 1980. That would probably date the video to late 1970s-1980...
