The Iceland segment will be featured in the next issue (Fall) of Overland Journal, where Greg, Sinuhe, Arctic Trucks and I crossed the largest glacier in Europe using two Land Cruiser 78s. It was one of my most memorable adventures.

Great suggestions Marc. From our experience, it seems to be a chicken/egg situation. We added a Mitsubishi forum just a few years ago based on user feedback, and it now has 1,000 threads and nearly 15,000 posts.
I am glad you like the "Getting Started" concept too. I think it will be an...
This is a good suggestion, and we might change the "Rider Gear" to "General Rider Gear and Equipment" to cover all of the items not specific to a class of motorcycle.

I remember the first GS I ever came across. It was a yellow one like that, parked in front of an REI in the early 2000s. The dry clutch and higher first gear seems to be the only real limitation for serious trail work with that platform.
Looking forward to the updates
A full trip report from Chris Cordes. Thanks again for the fantastic adventure Mark!

Will be curious of your impressions of Almaty. It was certainly a city in rapid change. The cheapest room we could find (without prostitutes "checking" you in) was $140 per night.
The performance of the Ural is somewhat irrelevant. It is the smile it brings to your face, the sense of nostalgia, and of course, it is extremely stylish even sitting still!
