    Whats next at EarthCruiser

Bringing this back to life. I saw a recent video from EC Australia and this vehicle looks like a slightly smaller version of the new EC Terranova.

    Winnebago EKKO

Their website also says: ALL-WEATHER PREPPED With all tanks and water lines inside the coach above the floor, extensive all-season insulation in the roof, walls and floor, dual-pane acrylic windows, and multiple insulated exterior compartments, the camping season doesn't have to end when the...

EarthCruiser/Fuso Driving Experience from a Sportsmobile Perspective

Ha. I remember about 30 years ago in Death Valley watching a guy take a Porsche 911 (rental I assume) up one of the Jeep trails and hearing the poor thing bottom out on rock after rock. Not sure how far he made it.

    Winnebago EKKO

Just don't turn the heater on and use zero degree sleeping bags. Ha, ha. Seriously though, that's what we do in our SMB and still get a lot of condensation even in temps in the 30s and 40s. And someone has to crawl up to the ignition switch in the AM to start the motor and warm things up.

Quigley 4x4 E series cutaway for 2021 with 7.3 gas

Here is another video on the same unit.

Quigley 4x4 E series cutaway for 2021 with 7.3 gas

OK, this isn't off roady, but it's pretty clever and it's good to see Winnebago doing some innovative stuff. EKKO is the model. Pretty much van width and 22' long on a Tranist AWD chassis.

2018 Global Expedition Vehicles Turtle Dodge 5500 $289k

Pretty sure that was advertised on here recently and marked as sold. Maybe he didn't update the RVTrader ad. https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/sold-today-2018-gxv-turtle-xl-very-few-on-market-these-days-this-one-is-excellent.219518/#post-2852904

Quigley 4x4 E series cutaway for 2021 with 7.3 gas

Heck, if Coachmen can build the Cross Trek 27XG and sell it for well under $100,000, I can't understand why someone can't step it up just a little bit. Take a look at the storage space under the bed on this unit. Full width and over 3' wide and nearly 4' tall. I know they are junk, but seems...

Quigley 4x4 E series cutaway for 2021 with 7.3 gas

I still don't understand why someone like EC or GXV wouldn't put a small completed camper box on the back of this and sell them like hot cakes for about $200,000. I don't have the time, skills, or space to do one on my own, but would love to buy one. It would have many of the advantages of a...

    EC Bathroom Layout Question

I see these as emergency use only. We have survived 12 years, 165,000 miles, and hundreds of days in our Sportsmobile without ever doing our business in the van. Lots of pee bottles at night of course, but those are easy to deal with. There have been a couple of times when it was a bit dicey...

Switching from Ford E-Series to FC/cabover (like Sportsmobile to Earthcruiser 4x4)?

I agree. To me, the most important issue on a day to day use of the vehicle is the turning radius. Anything much worse than my Sportsmobile would start to drive me crazy. I am waffling back and forth between the new EC TerraNova and the smaller Adventure Truck. Who knows whether I will really...

    2008 Host Class C 270 4x4 Super Singles

I am thinking the Dynamax 28SS 4x4 could be converted to singles also and you would have a brand new rig for just a little more money.

    SOLD: 2019 EarthCruiser FX

From what I read, interest payments on the loan can be tax deductible if it's your only second home. Is that correct?

SOLD TODAY...2018 GXV Turtle XL - Very Few On Market These Days, This One Is Excellent!

Looks like the one that GXV had for sale on their website is also sold. It only had 7,000 miles on it.

    El Kapitan Van Conversion

I find it interesting that after doing a search on the Forum I can't find any recent posts about El Kapitan conversion vans. It looks like they do quite a few 4x4 MB conversions and I was just curious what feedback people have with their vans. Thanks for any feedback.

Goodyear G275 MSA 335/80R20 Tires - Where to buy and how expensive?

My biggest worry about getting something on the F550 chassis like a Turtle or some of the other expedition campers is trying to purchase the military spec tires used on them. What happens if you are in Wyoming or North Dakota and need tires? Doesn't seem like you can just go to the local...

    Dynamax Isata 5 28SS - Ram 5500 4x4 or Thor Outlaw 29s with 4x4

One other option that could be converted to 4x4 at Quigley for about $15,000 is this unit from Coachmen with a very large storage area under the bed. About 38" wide by 44" tall and full width. Cross Trek 27XG. A bit less than 30' long, so equivalent to the Thor Outlaw, but no slide outs on this...

    Whats next at EarthCruiser

Nice work. Looking forward to more details about the interior, etc. How long is the front overhang? Looks like you would at least want to have the extended cab E350 to avoid having an awning that blocked forward vision.

    Whats next at EarthCruiser

Don, don't keep us waiting too long on the Project X. Seems like a great idea. If you put it on a gas powered E350, the cabover bed should be fine weight wise as the gas unit is 800 pounds less than the diesel.

Maybe something like this? Apologies for the lousy artwork.
