Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

It looks to me like the PowerFilm foldable panels even come with the adapter that would accept the big end of the ArkPak DC to DC car charger, so yeah, it'll work for sure. And I don't want to mislead anyone . . . there are multiple inputs that let you put 12 volt back into the battery without...

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Nothing wrong with the Goal Zero units, but the ArkPak supplies 130 amp-hours vs. 33 for the Goal Zero 350. 33 AH of capacity discharged to the "don't go below" 50%, means you'd have 16.5 amp-hours available, which is plenty for phones and laptops, but likely not enough to get you through a day...

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Hi, Corey, Sorry for the delay in getting this information posted. Last question first . . . there's some goofiness because the input to charge the ArkPak is 24 volts DC. Both the AC charger and the optional DC (car) charger output 24 volts. I looked up your charge controller and it (totally...

    Thetford Swivel Shower Tray

:iagree: His rant x 2. Thetford in the US is working overtime to miss the entire overland camping phenomenon. :( Some enterprising UK caravan supplier would do well to take advantage of our distress. If it's the difference between nor having the parts we need and paying absurd shipping fees...

Portland to Prescott on a Ural Solo

Thanks, Scott. It was good to share an adventure with you, no matter how modest. I trust you'll let me know when it's time to for us to do the rest of the coast with the Ural . . . or a Big Ruckus . . . or a sidecar.

    My homebuilt RTW sidecar..

Congratulations on your build. It's very impressive and should serve you well. I had a GS850 and thought it was great.

Portland to Prescott on a Ural Solo

I'm thinking not. Icon put in a little lithium iron phosphate and sort of just attached to the front of the rear fender. There's not enough space or weight carrying for a non-LiFePO4 of proper capacity, and it's likely that a small enough AGM wouldn't have enough capacity to do any good.

Expedition West Tacoma DEPOSIT IN HAND

Whoa, one of our elder statesmen got up on the wrong side of the bed. :( That reply was harsh, trollish, hyperbolic and nonresponsive and, come to think of it, have you ever driven (or even seen) this truck? That's just a rhetorical question, mind you, so we absolutely do not need further...

Expedition West Tacoma DEPOSIT IN HAND

Owner One, Scott Brady/Expeditions West, went on several important expeditions and then moved on to new project trucks. That's how things are done with Scott, but the Tacoma remains on of his favorites. Owner Two, James Roy, added much sophistication to the truck, took it to Central America and...

Portland to Prescott on a Ural Solo

Oh, dear. We should have heard from Scott by now. He was headed to Redding, CA, after lunch in Grants Pass . . . 178 miles. Here's hoping he's having an appropriately-sized adventure.

Portland to Prescott on a Ural Solo

What?! Did you think we'd vote ourselves the right to get out of our cars in the rain to pump gas? What's that? Most every gas station known to man has a whomping big canopy over it? Go away and don't confuse me with reason. ------ Makes me crazy, it does. But there've been referendums a...

Portland to Prescott on a Ural Solo

FWIW, since they don't take reservations at Pastini's, and they tend to get crowded around 6:30, I'll be getting there a little early, so Chris, Scott and/or Andy, check around when you arrive and you needn't wait until 6:30. I'll be wearing my dress ex-Officio shirt, being too polite to wear my...

    JK aux fuel tank

That's a good estimate; the pump doesn't exactly flood the fuel into the aux tank. However, it's also a pleasant process, with no drama, and you don't have to watch it every second.
