Bds. Get the cheapo free shocks with it, upgrade to King 2.5's later.

It's still 2000. Long arm kits cost.
The cost of 6.0 repairs is a nice down payment on a new one. I've seen people dump over $10,000 fixing up 6.0's.
I avoid all of the new diesels if I can. Went gas on the last two trucks. I prefer the 6.2 and 6.8 engines in the Super Duties, with a healthy rear gear ratio. 4.56+.
The Tundra competed well with the 2010 f150 I had. But the f150 has moved on, and Toyota didn't get the memo.
Hopefully they come out with something unique soon, cause the new Gm and Dodge 1500's are out.
6131 hours.
3308 hours at idle.
140 000 miles.
Ford 6.2L. Runs perfectly. It's my office, and my escape from heat stroke or frost bite. I work outdoors.
Still, I have to admit. I wouldn't use an idling truck as a camping tool, unless I had to. In my work trucks case, idling is less...
$$$. Looking at $80 g's and upgrading to a DRW truck then. And still not adaptable enough. I'd still have to carry the garage even if I didn't need it. Not much of a selection. Most are way too big and too expensive.
If I raced motorcycles, heck yeah. I think I'd still rather have...
I'm stuck in a tent until the "expo funds fairy" arrives. No shame in that.
I just had to weigh where I'd be too big, and how often or when. Around here, that's nowhere a 4runner can go. So it's 1% of my "to do" expo travels list, which I might be able to cover with the DRZ400(s). Heck...
Yeah, it's a ton of work keeping rv's clean. I treat them like boats with a no shoes rule.
I liked the welded aluminum Camplites. But Thor bought and killed them so that they can continue making twiggy trailers. Didn't want the "wood free" trailer movement to catch on, I guess.
I think...
If my goal is trails, not travel, then Braaaap. My Yj was capable, but boring. There's still plenty of places to park the camper. I'm adding Wayne National Forest to my list for next year. But that'll be a base camp bike thing again.
Yeah, that's the way to go. Need to start a company that specializes in converting those. Advertise by driving through a motorhome at 25 mph.
If I'm lucky I'll be able to buy one of our work trucks when it's traded in. If we don't go back to the worthless GM's that are completely worn...
I won't be serious about buying a camper until the truck is paid off. Yeah, I'll likely finance it. I'll have another car sized loan when I reside and update my house. As longs as they're all 5 years or less, no big deal.
What sucks to me, is how some people move from one car payment...
I like how they're hardly wider than the truck, and with no rear overhang, I can still tow something.
I plan on the same with the table, leave it behind. There's picnic tables outside. I'm adding the AC though. Just to clear the camper from humidity as I'll be scuba diving from it...
That's exactly the camper I want right down to the colors. You have great taste, sir.
Is that the "ridge pine" interior. It looks good. I liked the gray "weathered cedar", but it's a bit dark for a camper with limited natural light.
Hopefully you can do a long term review on it soon...
Why doesn't anyone maintain the road? On no. Someone slid off the road. [Unloads skid steer, fixes it.]
We ran into the same issue mountain biking. Someone has to help out with trail maintenance. Which is particularly easy. A little goes a long ways.
Haha, I never thought of lining up the trailers wheel wells with the F550. That's perfect.
When expo companies are asking $100k for a box that sits on a frame, it just makes sense to try something else.
I'd love to go out west. I think I might make 3 weeks of it when the time comes. Otherwise it'll be added to my list of cheap things to do when I retire.
The DRZ is street legal. I still get some bad looks, and followed by police all of the time. Off road yahoo kids can really mess up...
I want to put a travel trailer ON an F450/550.
I wonder if I can hack the hitch and axles off of a TT and just bolt it to a flatbed F550. Box up the wheel well holes for recovery gear storage. Sell it for a half million dollars like Earthroamer. Haha.
Like this, but on the trucks chassis...
