    Full JL Specs released

The more videos I see describing all the little details, and how much Jeep actually listened to it's consumers, the more impressed I am with this new model. I don't think there is another automotive manufacturer that has paid attention to it's user base more. Kudos to Jeep!

    privacy tents\shower tents feedback

I like that all the poles stay attached to the rest of the tent on the Lightspeed. I prefer that to having to do all the poles separately if that's the way the Heliopolis works. It does look a lot like the CVT and slightly less expensive. Thanks for the link.

    privacy tents\shower tents feedback

I've been eyeballing this one from CVT: https://cascadiatents.com/shop/portable-shower-changing-room/

    Full JL Specs released

If it's full electric with a generator, like a Chevy Volt, it won't just be soccer moms driving them! Electric motor torque and extended range would be pretty sweet.

    InReach SE Screen failure?

Great info. I have been considering upgrading my Garmin GPS, maybe I will just combine the 2 devices into one and get the Explorer+

    InReach SE Screen failure?

I never did contact Garmin about this, got busy and use the InReach paired to my phone so the few lines aren't an impediment to using it yet. If it was the full blank screen then that would be an issue for sure and does seem unfair to charge for a known fault. On the other hand, since Delorme...

Fridge vs. cooler for basecamp-style travel

Good points all! I've got an ARB 50qt, dual batteries and solar, is it simple? No, but is it all that complicated, not really, although I thought so when I first started out. Being able to pull a cold beer out of the fridge on day 4 in the desert without ever having to start my Jeep, now...

    Best Offroad GPS unit

It appears Lowrance doesn't have any Offroad category anymore on their website, only Marine products listed. Not that you couldn't make one of their chartplotters work of course.

New Trailer Fridge - First trip = Exploded beer cans??

I'm guessing this has way more to do with altitude then ride quality. However, I do keep my fridge in the vehicle. We did do a trip in Death Valley with a cooler full of beer in the trailer on some of the worst washboard roads known to man with zero issues.

Damn, that's huge. Why so many GPS's? I ask cause I have been using the same Garmin for years.

    Max Coupler Wearing Out

I'll probably go with an Aussie design when my Max Coupler wears out, there weren't many options a couple years back when I purchased my Max Coupler.

Dstock's M101A1 build... or the reality, I needed a new project!

XO Jack After partially tweaking my back moving the trailer around fighting the wheel on my existing trailer jack, I finally pulled the trigger on the XO Jack from Ark. This thing is probably overkill but what a well thought out product. Fits perfectly on my trailer and has plenty of...

4xoverland (Andrew White) Shower From His Canning Stock Trip

I saw a review on the Nemo site that mentioned the steel poles rusting with the Heliopolis tent. Have you had that issue?

Request for Ideas: Hanging Pull Out Fridge Slide

As long as the "drawer" slides can support the weight, it shouldn't be that tough to fab up. Angle iron to attach to the rack and slides, and then using flat steel just make a frame to cradle the fridge. Positioned correctly the frame could incorporate holes to use the fridge feet bolt holes...
