The picture makes it look like any additional rotation and you will send the shackle into the mount. Perhaps the angle the picture is taken from is deceiving?

Shafer switchbacks in Canyonlands National Park. Absolute blast to drive down. Partial credit awarded! The White Rim Road officially begins a mile or so after the conclusion of the Shafer switchbacks. Still, good eye.
