Gen 2 & 2.5 owners..what your milage and long term ownership reviews.

Gen 2.5 - Bought at 180k miles, not well cared for by prior owners. Salvaged Title. Drove it hard for 3 years, but put a lot of effort into it. Still died at 210k miles. Required an excessive amount of maintenance while I had it (IMHO).

    Death Valley Overlanding

A Raptor would have no trouble on Lippencott at all. It's not that narrow! If you are a long, long truck, its a PIA, but H1's can handle Lippencott just fine, and they are about the widest thing on the road. Same for Steele Pass

The black and white thread (film or digital)

Pathfinder, that is a magnificent exposure, superbly shot. It lends a sense of immortally, weight, and a bit of foreboding. It's the exact opposite of this photo which immediately popped into my mind when I saw your image: LOL

Interesting, looks the same as the one here in Orange County, California https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/6021131094.html Edit: I looked at those photos in the imgur website, kinda looks like those carpets have seen some flood damage

I took a few early morning shots of the interior this morning. Cheers, Seat covers need to be washed! Back seat leather (and jump seats) looks great. I can't quite remember what the front seats look like. They were worn but leather was intact, no tears, splits, etc... RAM cup holder...

1998 Montero Gen 2.5 with locker - SoCal

Milo, $10 for the seat covers. I'll add them to the brake disks I'm bringing in April to Vegas. The plugs and wires are installed, so I think I'm gonna need them unless you can send something to swap with, but its kind of a PIA to install.

    Death Valley Overlanding

Mike, great videos! I recommend Cottonwood Canyon (north of Stovepipe Wells) which is scenic, a little like Titus, but ends in lush greenery with birds, and the Charcoal kilns (nice camping up in the pines), and Defense Mine / Lookout City in Panamint Valley (technical trails), and maybe Deep...
