+1 on the BlueSea ACR I had the NL and had issues (and others have as well), switched to the BlueSea ACR (500amp) earlier this year and it has worked flawlessly ever since.

Thanks! I need to update this thread as I've made some changes/improvements but so far it's been working out great.

It can be done, I forget who's build on here but someone did figure it out. I've just been using wheel chocks for now and it's worked out fine. Eventually I will get the trailer brake to work but I am starting from scratch as my cables were rusted to death.

Glad it worked out for you. Mine wouldn't hold a resting rate over 12.4 overnight. Odyssey considers this a bad battery. Sears said it was good. The spec is 12.7-8. Following the Odyssey recovery procedure of discharging and charging a couple of times, I was able to recover the batteries...

I will say Fabien, the guy programming, is very responsive and even followed up later to see if I had resolved my problem! Thumbs up to him! I will keep messing with it, maybe I am just to used to my Garmin, which while not perfect I seem to do better with it. Time will tell.

Just an update, bought a couple of these and I'm very unimpressed. Not very sturdy and the powder coating scratches very easily. They will be going back, certainly don't trust them enough to mount them on the front of my trailer.

What tires were on the AEV equipped JK? What was the air pressure? What kind of mods did it have? You make some broad claims based on little experience without providing much data to back it up which kind of sucks for people who are trying to make informed decisions on how to spend their money...

Actually, that is incorrect...straight from AEV's website - "AEV cannot guarantee that the lift height you get will exactly match the height we advertise. This is simply due to the fact that AEV designed its suspensions to carry the weight of additional accessories and loads, but no two JKs...

I have ARB bumpers front (with winch) and rear, no rear tire carrier. I would seek out others that have the lift without extra bumpers and get their feedback, the AEV forum is a good place for info. Much better than those with so called "advice" that don't actually have the lift in question.

My understanding was the AEV 2.5 lift was designed with the heavy front bumper/combo and heavy rear bumper/tire carrier in mind. The springs included are progressive which means it rides well loaded and unloaded. Just getting stiffer springs will help when loaded but unloaded you are going to...
