An entry shower/toilet is not unusual. Look at the EarthCruiser EXP with a larger entry shower, I am pretty sure my wide body will not fit into the toilet space in the AEONRv but the EC could work…
If there was a market for this then don’t you suppose some company would be making them?
You can go the custom build route but not likely at a price you want to pay…
You can build one yourself possibly using Total Composites panels…
You can get an Isuzu/Chevy cab forward converted to 4wd if you can live with a lower GVWR than the Kenworth and Acela. Fuso too but they are leaving North America.
Two advantages of the cab over vs the pickup are a shorter turning circle and the good view of things out the cab windows. Ours is a little taller and I am sitting a little higher than the semi drivers. Even on the smaller cab forwards the view is very good.
With the DRW rear axle you would have to do something to adjust the rear wheel track to match the front wheels. What are the options? Can you use spacers with the same wheels as on the front or do you have to switch out all the wheels and reverse the wheels on the rear.
But that is not the chassis that will be on the EKKO is it?
Is yours a 11,000 lb GVWR chassis?
Isn’t the axle going to be different for a DRW vs a SRW?
Looks like rear axle is 7275 lb. Those 3600 lb tires are probably not going to be adequate for a fully loaded vehicle. Nice to have some extra safety margin with the tire load rating. You also need to find wheels that work for a super single setup. If you want the wheels to be interchangeable...
Are those small enough to fit front and back? Not much room for tires on the Transit even with a lift. Seems that a 2” lift is all you might be able to do.
On the other hand, it seems to be a common practice to do it for the Class C RV’s that use a pickup chassis but probably nothing said about the fact that it may be compromising occupant protection?
I will go one step further, even if you think you know what you want but you haven’t had experience with anything like one of these before you are probably guaranteed to find out you really didn’t know what you wanted until you have had one for awhile and see the things you decide you should...
That is just what he does with every RV they get, makes a lot of changes to optimize it for how they use it. The EKKO comes standard with a Xantrex 2000 watt inverter and the new quiet Onan gasoline generator and a single Lithionics battery. You have the option to delete the generator (which...
