when the trailer is seperated from the truck use a chain or cable through the wheels and up over the frame and a padlock. Or use a hitch pin with a padlock and chain attached and spin the vehcile side of the coupler 180 deg's towards the trailer and chain it tight and padlock it to the trailer.

putting a solid axle under your truck is not an easy or cheap endevour. The amount you would spend you could sell your 2wd add the amount on and have a nice 4wd truck or SUV. If you already have big tires and maybe a locker you can go 75% of the really nice places with no problems in 2wd.
