Falken Wildpeak AT/3W - anyone running them? Opinions?

I just made the change from BFG KO2 235/85/16 E to the Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/75/16 SL So far I am very happy, wet traction starting out seems bettering the ride and road noise are greatly improved as well. Look forward to testing these tires out.

Falken Wildpeak AT/3W - anyone running them? Opinions?

Great, thats what I wanted to hear! The Taco doesn't see much offroad use these days. Any feed back on how the Falkens do starting and stopping in the rain? My KO2's break traction very easily when starting or stopping on wet asphalt.

Falken Wildpeak AT/3W - anyone running them? Opinions?

@DaveInDenver I am thinking about going from 235/85/16 KO2's to the Falken AT3/W in a 265/75/16 are you still happy with your Falkens?

Spring recommendations for a lifted JKU - Overland rig

@harpersJK have you talked to Dirk at https://dpgoffroad.com I think he's pretty knowledgeable about different spring rates available through OME and might be able to recommend a 2-2.5" coil.

    Which Jeep Model & Why?

The lack of range is the biggest reason I ever consider giving up my LJ, I ve gotten as bad as 9MPG and as good as 20 at 55MPH for 2 hours. If there was a way to squeeze and average of 18-20MPG out of it I would be thrilled. My father in laws JLU Rubicon with the 2.0 never seems to get worse...

    State inspection

Where do you live? not all states require inspection or have the same rules/laws if they do. I am in PA, my TJ is lifter with a 2.5" OME but the inspection garage would never even question my suspension unless bushings were bad and as for tires as long as they sit under the flares they won't...

@MOguy keep promoting TJs so someone offers me so much money for my LJ that I can't turn it down LOL. Seriously though times are the jeep crowd are changing people want all of those bells and whistles. I knew I was outdated when I logged into the JL and JT forums and people were talking more...

    Anyone having issues with KO2's?

I have a set of KO's on my LJ. It doesn't get driven much. I put an OME kit from DPG on it a few years back and had death wobble on the second drive. I called Dirk and asked him what did I do wrong. First question he asked was what tires do I have, I told him I was running BFG AT's. He very...

I agree the diesel should be getting closer to 30 in the Wrangler. My father in law has the 2.0 in is Rubicon and he gets 19-24 depending on the driving he does, before his Rubicon he had a sport with the 2.0 and was getting around 20. I can't imagine Jeep would keep 3 engines around if 2 of...

    Gladiator XMT

I guess all I am getting at is that, for overlanding purposes a Tacoma or Gladiator sized vehicle is a great platform. If this was a hard core rock crawling forum I would be preaching Wranglers all day, for their size and ease of running 35' or bigger.

    Gladiator XMT

Have a Tacoma and an LJ. The Tacoma never ceases to amaze me with how nimble it is. I have driven my father in laws JLUR and its a sweet ride for sure, but I don't consider it to be that much more nimble or smaller than my Tacoma. Especially on a trail. My LJ feels so small after driving my...

2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 3.0L EcoDiesel

Even if it only gets 25 MPG real world that’s 450 miles to a tank. Which is better than my LJ or Taco. I am sure someone will offer a larger capacity fuel tank aftermarket

This might sway me to unload both my Tacoma and my LJ to get a Wrangler or Gladiator with a diesel that can go 400-500 miles between fuel ups. Especially since I don't live in the rockies any more. It is about a 1,400 mile drive to Denver for me these days.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, I feel like they are pretty close in size I just haven't had a chance to park my Taco next to one. I have parked me LJ next to one and they are quite a bit bigger than my LJ but I feel they are about the same as a Taco or ZR2

    JLU worth car payments?

What @shays4me said about expedition needs/build. Plus my 2 cents, which will make me sound old ? There was a time when’s 37’s were buggy tires or for trailer queens and most of use wheeled just fine on 33’s for most stuff and 35’s were “big extreme” tires for rock crawling. In the late...
