Unpossible that rig could do the Pan American. You need 4x4 or better yet 6x6 and a biiiiiiiig camper with solar and a battery bank that could power a small city.
That would be an easy fix. Fly down with a new bellhousing and install it yourself with a floor jack and some hand tools.

Flotation is the only downfall but airing down some should help, of course 22.5 rims typically don't have any bead retention so you might have issues there depending on how low you go. Should have no problem running it as a single in the rear. Only question is are you planning on running custom...
11R22.5 tires are everywhere. I don't think you can go wrong. For ice and snow driving get them siped, I know it shortens the tread life some but it is well worth the extra traction.
Well it dumped again yesterday so my stuff is buried again under snow. Supposed to warm up this next week and I'll dig it out. Got anyone heading by north Idaho soon?
