    72 IH + ‘85 Alaskan = Questionable Judgment...

I bought a ‘17 forester new and it burned oil from day one despite proper break in procedure. Had blizzacks and a six speed. I’d still have it but the wife decided I needed a truck instead.

    Older Chevrolet S-10 feedback

I had a 94 zr2 4.3 auto, a 99 2wd 2.2 manual, and a 01 4.3 4x4 4dr blazer. The 4wd is only available with the 4.3. The 4.3 trucks get about 14mpg in my experience. Good drivetrain but the same mpg as a full size. The cheap purchase price of these trucks makes the mpg bearable imo. Expect to...

Thoughts for an Overlander in today's market? Suggestions?

Wow, even my 2500 gasser on 35's will get 12 on the highway.

I think the lags are where the water is getting in?

    Camper jack attachment durability

I’ve seen a couple on used trailers where the wood the lags are in has gone soft. It’s scary that that’s what’s holding them up in the air.

    Gladiator - Good/Bad?

Yeah, that’s more torque at a lower rpm than my 6.0 Chevy.

    Kimberley Kampers USA

Not Airstream, but I had an older guy at work(RV tech) tell me of a time they switched trailer axles from Neverlube to conventional because of overheating and blowing tires. I've only seen 1 trailer with the never lube axles in my 3 years as a tech, nobody in the shop new what to do with them. I...

There’s a reason nobody uses never lube. I’ve heard of those things getting so hot tires were blowing out. I don’t what insurance rates are on airstream but a hail storm can really mess them up.

    Bug-Out Big Rig Build - '19 Ram 2500 4x4 Long Bed

In case you didn’t know, the sticker in the door is the real number. My FIL has the same truck and his is 2200# I think.

    Heat Recovery Ventilators

I think they work that way, in/out cycles. It’s how it transfers the heat through the heat sink part.

    Gladiator - Good/Bad?

I towed my 32' 10,000 lb bumper pull across Wyoming coming back from a trip. Must have been a 20mph headwind ALL DAY. The truck was revving between 3.5 and 4.5 all day to maintain 55mph but I've never seen the transmission temps go over 180F. I think the rpm's cooked a serpentine belt idler, it...

    Gladiator - Good/Bad?

It's these kinds of stories that kept me in a gasser 3/4ton. A truck that can't relibly tow half its rating is ridiculous. I thought the SAE J2807 tow standards were supposed to fix this.

Hardware changes on Silverado HD's beweteen post 2011 and the modern day model

I’m on my second 2500hd, 2011 and 2015. I know the 2011 and newer differ from the older ones. Different chassis and different wheel bolt pattern. Don’t know the specifics really.
