nice rig! does the super ferry still run? I heard it was going to be shut down?
I am going to the big island for 6 weeks in Aug/Sept and would love to take the ferry to another island rather than fly.
ha fewer speeding tickets? My dad has a 2007 dodge cummins and the thing is a rocket!
I guess I am just losing interest in diesel as it used to be a double edged win with better mileage and lower price per gallon. now that has changed I don't see as much advantage now.
Also whats going to...
I didn't read the article but does it mention the higher cost to purchase a diesel? take a while to recoup that when the mileage is the same (factoring in the higher diesel cost)
I test drove a Liberty CRD thinking it would be an upgrade over our 4 door sidekick. I was amazed to see they were almost the same size! Thats why we ended up with the XL7. not very good off road (no aftermarket) though.
I didn't vote because I say none! until you have the lift in! You need to measure the height difference from the pitman to the upper knuckle (where the histeer attaches) you may be able to get away with a drop pitman.
but if everything works out distance wise I'd say hi steer first. there is...
I have some silver tanks and have no problem getting them filled up here. the tank will not explode it has a vent. I had one vet a few years ago on me and it took a while to stop and I lost a fair amount of propane. It was filled at a backwoods station up here and I swear the kid was like 10...
I have been using an alum. hawse style for 4 years now with synth line and no problems. I check it for burrs every once in a while and it has seen hard service (its on its third vehicle now!) I would no go back to a roller for synth.
I am a big diesel fan but lately have been questioning my loyalty!
Diesel up here is a fair amount more expensive than gas plus you pay a premium to buy a new diesel rig. Heck a cummins dodge truck is like $4 grand more for the diesel option.
Based on what I have heard there is...
so do I! The bumper and rails are from Shrockworks. Other than some facial changes its all Nissan drivetrain so all lifts etc. will fit. Lets hope this helps out both MFG's.
I will be ready for a new truck in the end of '09 so good timing!
I do that up here I have taken a few scrap vehicles with good parts on them to a local junk yard that has suzukis. He has basically said if I need anything short of an engine to go get it for free! Saved me buying a new AC compressor not long ago!
nice pics! wierd to see you in the snow with a t shirt on! :D Did you guys air down? when we hit the snow up here we air WAY down and it is surprising how far you can get. just like sand.
nice color. it may seem like its working hard but remember its not a typical v6. its a double overhead cam screamer! Like a 4 cylinder it likes the revvs. mine cruises fine at 3000-3500 RPM all day. DO NOT LUG it!
hope it works out for you. It should have the 2,7 v6 right? If so its the same engine thats in my 2001 XL7 very nice motor. and as long as you keep up with the oil changes they last a long time.
As a side note my 1991 sidekick just ticked over 298000 kms on the original engine! Its low on...
they are called a golf sycnro cross country. kinda wierd lookin things.! There was an imported one for sale here around a month ago. it even had a rear swing away tire carrier! I guess cause the syncro drive took up the spare location? From what I can gather they have a modded passat syncro...
I would have no problem buying a new suzuki. My 2001 XL7 has been pretty good so far. and I flog a sidekick all the time off road and its amazing what it will take!
