I'm looking to upgrade the rear of my RRC. I've used ARB's and other lockers in the past.
What are you opinions of the Ashscroft Air Lockers?
I've been planning on upgrading the rear of my RRC to 24 spline stuff, so now is the time. I already did the front a few years ago when the CV's...
Awesome, I'll follow along if you have a thread.
I'm seriously considering this for my Range Rover, all I'd need to do is build some motor mounts and connect it to the 700R4. There is a company out there building adapters already. With adapters I'm willing to bet its going to be a $10K...
Well, buying that 6.5 motor for the serpentine set-up was a great investment. I sold the engine block for $350 about a month ago. And Monday I sold the turbo set-up for $200. So my serpentine set-up cost made me $150. LOL :ylsmoke:
After careful measurement, the turbo wouldn't have fit...
I decided it was a good idea to take it on a shake down run. I drove it like I stole it. Well not that hard. But harder than normal.
I went up Skyline from Bountiful and down through Farmington. I left my truck and trailer at the B and took the rover on the loop.
Got above 9200 feet. No...
Some universal LED 7” lights. I got them off Amazon about 2 years ago when I first got the RRC. I think they were around $400 back then. I’m sure there are much cheaper versions now. They work great though and have a very nice cutoff and beam.

Finally got it out today to play with it for a little bit. I love it. The torque is awesome. I crawled up a lot of stuff in 4 high that it struggled with in 4 low and the 4.2. In 4 low, it crawls great.
David, you can't do what I have done, you don't have the skills or ability to do it. So you criticize what I've done to try and make you feel better about yourself. If you don't like what I've done, you can always just ignore the build. But obviously you are intrigued. You can't stop trying...
And I welded up a spare diff to stick in the rear axle.
I’m going to Moab in two weeks. So I have 5 things left on my list before I go. Top of that is fixing the heater core. Then tie rods, a short in the stereo wiring, and a few other small things.

I also went down to Tom Woods driveshaft and they are building me a new one for my set up. Using 1310 ujoints.
I’ll pick that up tomorrow.

Does anyone have a good recipe for upgrading the tie-rod ends and linkage in the front of a Range Rover? I don't need any skid plates, just looking for some stronger tie-rods etc.
I'm currently running 33" tall tires with a heavy diesel motor on top of everything. And about 3" of lift...
