I called the beginning of this last week and made him an offer on it which he accepted. I didn't schedule any work for yesterday, partly because it was Memorial Day weekend but also I was going to try to go get this. I ended up working most of Thursday night into Friday morning on emergency...
I've been eyeballing this for the last few years every time I drove through Colfax WA for work. Finally about a month ago I stopped on my way back from a job and looked at it. It looked clean so I asked my outside sales guy who sells parts to the business that owned it who I should talk too...
Yeah that's wierd that's all they took, lots of other good tools there too. Maybe something scared them off or it was just kids who were intrigued by the Halligan. A big pry bar for tire R&R is a must for big truck tires.
I didn't see any lithium batteries, just cardboard boxes.
Nice, I'm working on a possible job where I'm going to upgrade a RV from AGMs to lithiums. I just gave the customer the estimate today and we'll see which way they go.
Look at some old military trucks in the 2.5 ton to 5 ton size. They use rail on rail, fixed at one end and springs and bolts for the rest. It's the cheapest, easiest and has worked well for decades. Doesn't mean it's the best in any one category but is a very good all around design.
CJ6 or M170 ambulance that has been civilianized? Your passenger side looks like it has had some modifications done to it. Need more pictures and details. Very nice find.
ECM=PCM usually. Don't the 97 Powerstrokes have an IDM, injector driver module? Usually that is what goes bad but I would first check the UVC, under valve cover, plugs and make sure they're not starting to have a melt down.
I think that truck was in the International dealer I work at a few months ago for some maintenance. Pictures don't do it justice, way better seeing it in person.
This right here. That's why I still use paper maps when I'm exploring and leave the gps off. Some of the wrong turns I've made have led to some of the best trips.
What did you bump the timing too? Do you have a pyro and boost gauge? What are you doing for exhaust? Watch out for fumes in the bus depending on how you run the exhaust, carbon monoxide is dangerous. Nice build.
