    '06 Dodge 2500 Steering Issues

Update Well I've got an update on my steering clunking. I was cruising the Cumminsforum a couple nights ago and found this message. The problem sounded very similar to mine, so yesterday afternoon I split my steering shaft in half and packed as much trailer bearing grease into the upper...

I was planning on going that way, but when I contacted Don he said his system doesn't work well with just 3" taller coils. That surprised me. -Chris

    '06 Dodge 2500 Steering Issues

It's really only noticeable when going slow. Are you suggesting the steering shaft above the steering gear box? I've twisted that guy several times from under the truck and I can't sense any play in there... -Chris

    '06 Dodge 2500 Steering Issues

Hello all, I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 4x4 Cummins. It has been upgraded w/ Thuren Coils, Carli Trackbar, Bilstein 5160 Shocks, Kore Bumpstops, Extended Swaybar Endlinks, BD diesel steering box brace, and a Bilstein 5100 Steering Dampener. It also has (4) new balljoints and front axle ujoints. I'm...

    Hand Tools: The highest quality/value

My work box is full of Snap-on, but my homebased kit is a mix of Snap-on and Craftsman. However I find myself buying less and less Craftsman, primarily because I hate going to Sears. In the past few years(since the Kmart buyout) Sears has gone seriously downhill(in my opinion). The isles are...

    Road Cycling

Road cycling is a blast. Especially when your able to escape from the automobile traffic. I thoroughly enjoy a good mountain or road bike race, but I find Criterium racing to be the most exciting. 80-100 guys driving into tight 90 degree corners for 90 minutes of all out hell. Banging elbows...

Any Cali surf spots with vehicle camping on the beach?

San Diego area spots. Silverstrand down on Coronado(mainly beach break), and there is overnight rv parking at the Oceanside harbor(jetties). San Elijo campground in Cardiff(cardiff reef, pipes, swamis). Carlsbad state campground(pontos). The state campgrounds have gotten insane expensive(in...

    Bicycle Movies

I've got a mess of modern cycling dvd's, but my favorite is the mid 1990's classic Tread w/ Greg Herbold and Hans Rey. Takes me back to the golden age of mtb'ing every time I watch it! Retread wasn't that good, in my opinion. Rad was sweet. "Hell Track" w/ the cereal bowl obstacle! Multi-lap...

    Rugged Off-Road Hitch Rack

I use frame adapters for all my full suspension bikes, it's not the handiest but functions fine. My buddy morphed a Thule T2 and a Revolver together, and it came out pretty good. He has just used it for 2 bikes so far. -Chris

    Rugged Off-Road Hitch Rack

Not sure which one your referring to, but I have a Thule Revolver that I beat the crap out off and it's still working great. It swings away to the side with the bikes loaded giving nice access to my camper. -Chris

Ideas for a new All Mountain whip

Is the space bike you're referring to the the sworks 29'er epic? If so probably abit to short of travel for the original posters liking. It's been easy to drop 10k on a road bike since Di2 came out, and now mtb's are catching up, again. -Chris

Reliability of newer Dodge Ram HD's

I've got an 2006 2500 ctd automatic. The general opinion I've gathered from other owners(I've also reached myself) over the past 2.5 years I have had my truck is that most buy it for the motor, and plan to deal with the Dodge shortcomings when they appear. Mine has about 65k and I'm putting in...
