I have a 2006 LR3. It's loaded. It's been serviced at Land Rover of Salt Lake. It was primarily used as a highway vehicle between Idaho and Utah. So it's a little high on miles. It has 182k miles. Everything works. Air suspension and control arms were...
I've used bedliner before. It works fine, but after awhile the sun oxidizes it and it looks like crap. I just used to get the bedliner that was sold at WalMart. I've found spray paint works just as good. whenever it starts too look like crap, I just spray more on the bumper.
Just got a 182K mile 2006 SE. Its 4.4L, Every option except the HD locking rear axle. Drives great. Just needs a good clean up and some o2 sensors. The guy thought the cats were dead, but I hooked up my scanner and got live data. It showed the right bank of o2 sensors had no voltage. So I...
I keep picking up D2's for parts then I part them out after I get what I want. I usually make $1500-2000 on each one. I think they are worth more as parts right now. I'll keep driving mine until it dies
Yeah, I 'm going to start around 10 psi and work my way up to 18. I'll probably settle on 15psi.
The transmission has 110K miles i think. SO, it may not last long. But its always shifted really smooth and drives great. I'm probably going to get an LT230 for it as well
I ordered some larger elements for the injection pump. Stock is 5.5mm and the new ones will be 8mm.
Also got a small intercooler. I haven't figured out where to put it yet, I don't want to cut up the core support much.
And I got the turbo clocked and mocked up. I just need to pull the oil...
get rid of the rotor-flex and get a U-joint rear driveshaft. Much less chance of it failing. There a about 10 D1's in the junkyard in Ogden UT with the correct rear driveshaft. I got one for my D2 out of there for $30. I have several 24 spline u-joint diff's if you need one too. I'm in...
sounds like you need to have the heads machined flat.
i didn't have mine done when my headgasket blew. but I never overheated the engine. 10K miles after the headgasket replacement, I haven't had any issues. I used new torque to yield headbolts as well. So far my only issue is a ticking...
I have moved the range rover in preparation of the diesel install. These car dollies sure make it easy to put it in my garage sideways good thing I have a third garage. Sorry about the glare. I installed some new LED light bulbs into my fluorescent fixtures. Is so nice and bright in the...
Making some progress today. I got the cylinder head off. Then cleaned it up. I also painted the engine block. Starting to look good. I also got the old range rover engine out. I sold the long block. Just need to clean up the engine bay and build the transmission adapter.
