    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

I googled ecoboost coolant turbos and now I want an ecoboost less. First thread is $900 to get the leaky turbos fixed on a three year old truck.

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

I think it’s the oil that lubes and cools the turbos.

Heated Lithium / LifePo4 House batteries in Northern (cold) climates

Store battery in mostly charged state and then disconnect it. When you start your ski trip connect your battery. The battery will take time to warm but you won’t need to charge right away because it’s still mostly charged. Let the battery do its warmup/charge routine for the duration of the...

    Snowpeak Home & Camp Burner

I haven’t had much success with butane stoves at 35f. Had to start up the truck and put the canister on the defrost for a while.

Semi urgent truck selection help needed

The vinyl floor has insulation/carpet pad under it same as carpet so I doubt there’s much sound difference. I like that you can sweep it out. Around here the carpet gets loaded up with street salt and it gets rock hard and nasty. I’m not sure why carpet was ever an option, it’s not like you’re...

Propane quick disconnect and 20Lb tank

I didn’t see it posted but with the safety concerns posted above there is something more to consider. Propane cylinders need to be mounted/stored/ transported in the correct orientation. This is usually valve up unless it’s a horizontal cylinder. The danger is liquid lpg may leak out if The tank...

    Camping with Dog in Teardrop/Truck

We have a little heated dog bed for the little dog, 120v. Of course he’ll burrow into a mound of blankets if he’s cold also. For truck use 12v heated pad with a dedicated battery would work. Dog will sleep on it off it wants to warm up. I’m sure there’s some good brands out there.

The timing chain is at the back of the engine? What is this an Audi?

Does a decent 12V heater exist?

I was going to suggest a small RV propane furnace but then I looked into it. +$800 before the extras and you'd still need a decent sized battery to power your fan. Probably not the best option.

Looking for advice - Truck and camper set ups

I don’t know if OP knows but the 2500 vs 3500 suspension is a lot different. Coil vs leaf springs. Not like a Ford where there’s not much difference. I think I’d get a 3500 and not be worried about being right at max payload. A thousand pounds under payload would handle better than at max...
