It’s nice the Chevys have the extra battery tray already. I took my old battery and put it there. Then I made an isolated dual battery setup.
Now I’m wondering how I’d know if one of the batteries shorted out?
I don’t understand the handling bit. Race cars handle well, they have stiff suspension. Heavy duty trucks have such stiff suspension most don’t even need or have a rear sway bar. I get in my dodge 1500 work truck and compared to my 2500 it feels like it pitches side to side with the slightest...
You can get a super duty shorter in length than a f150 if you choose. But yes the default crew/short bed and is longer in a superduty.
Does the super duty still have a bigger turning radius when they have the same configuration, crew/6.5’ bed etc?
At the dealership I work at we had a sales guy who was trying to convince a guy that “no it’s not a rotten floor, it’s a floating floor”.
The customer saw through the bs but the sales guy is still employed.
My only experience with wool blankets was in army basic training in unheated barracks 50-60degrees. The blankets seemed sized for a 5’3” guy but I think they had shrunk over decades of use.
The cold is what I remember most of basic training.
I have also replaced my driver side seat cushion with a a new one. It was enough of a difference I had to lower my seat height.
I think it was from the seat guys or something like that.
That sounds like some kind of soccer mom feature.
I liked my auto 4x4(NOT to be confused with AWD) feature in my old Chevy. I didn’t want to leave 4x4 on all the time and the auto 4x4 would activate at about the same time you realized 2wd was loosing traction. Faster than you could push the 4wd...
S10’s are underrated. I’ve had three s10’s: two pick ups and a blazer, one zr2.
In regards to your spacers. Keep in mind 2wd and 4wd have different wheel offsets. Also the fronts are wider than the rears(4wd only I think.)
If you went with 2wd wheels you would have an even wider track width than...
If I was going to full time in a truck camper I wouldn’t go less than a 1 ton. It doesn’t make sense to overload your truck 100% of the time. There’s no benefit to that.
That’s a lot of money for the kit. Should be plenty for airing up tires though.
I went with a much cheaper viair and it barely airs a tire from 50-80psi.
