Say I have an 2000 Disco. Can I swap in a Traction Control Computer from an 2004 and have the better TC system?

I have my CDL working in my D2. I've heard the Traction control is programmed to be more aggressive when the CDL is off. And its supposed to be more passive when the CDL is locked. Is there any truth to this?

Changed out the factory thermostat tonight with the 180 degree version. Now the fans aren't coming on constantly. I was amazed at how much easier it was to do compared to a p38. Took about 30 minutes to do it.
