    Dinosaur Bones & Petroglyphs

Great report! Thanks for the photos. I'm diggin' the petroglyphs and really glad the quarry has reopened. . We are planning on a trip next summer since my son is a budding paleontologist. It's far enough from here we'll have to fly out and rent a vehicle but he's really excited.

I know better, but I'll ask anyway - why not MRE's

I gotta agree with FlyFishExpert on this one. Pictures of his food speaks truth. . Why not MREs? I'm not in the military, I'm not backpacking, and I'm not roughing it. There is room in the truck to pack Porterhouses, escargot, real bread, bottles of wine and makings for pie. . If it means...

    AEV Brute Double Cab

That's funny, 'cause I was thinking Blues Brothers while I was posting (and please remember people, that no matter who you are, and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there are still some things that make us all the same. You, me them, everybody, everybody.) . When do I want to go? Now...

    AEV Brute Double Cab

So other people have called you a rock crawler too......I thought it was just me. Really T, it was all in jest. Afterall, if you have to drive over some rocks to get to your campsite it qualifies as "Overland" rocks being part of the land and all. I've seen some pictures of the trips you've...

Securing a Propane Tank to the Outside of a Trailer

They're not brackets, really, but we solved our problem by building these propane lockers similar to what you would find in ocean-going vessels. Fun project that turned out great!

It is also close in size to a first generation Tundra. I'm not a Jeep aficionado, but even I find the 4 door Jeep truck very, very enticing. .

The CrowsWing - Offroad Teardrop Trailer

October 2011 We've been discussing for some time (a looong time) now how to mount the propane tanks on the trailer. We need something sturdy, lockable, and classy. The many propane tank brackets to be found run the gamut from welded steel hack jobs to stainless steel beauties to behold...

The CrowsWing - Offroad Teardrop Trailer

The Front Story: Whew! That brings us fairly up to date. We have a frame being built, (sort of - at this point in time we are currently next in line after they finish the two other custom trailers they are building) along with the exterior storage doors and the tongue box. We've had wheels...

The CrowsWing - Offroad Teardrop Trailer

The backstory:.My wife Elizabeth and I made a plan about 3 years ago. We called it our 10 year plan. In the 10 year time frame the kids will be nearly through with college and setting off on their own. This will leave us as the cliched “empty nesters” in a very large and expensive house, in...

    "Back in the Day"

Good Lord man! are you unsane! I can get a 4GB SD card for less and get more photos on it and not waste precious time processing film! Oh the agony! Where's the LCD screen? Where's the "delete" button on my SLR? You mean I have to have a hard copy before I can delete the picture from my file...
