Couldnt you just use coleman fuel? It would do away with the smell, I dont think I could bring myself to cook with a gasoline smell. I use coleman fuel for many things that normally run on gasoline (lawn mower, r/c planes and boats with gas engines etc) makes carry fuel in the vehicle better...

Why? too stiff of a spring? Lack of room between frame rail and axle? Why go through all the trouble/work, to not have a decent suspension. To be honest, it looks like it needs to be spring over, just to gain a couple inches of height, and allow room for the suspension to actually work. Hard...

Its actually held on with 14 bolts, that include six of the original hitch mounting points. Its not going anywhere. :D You can see them here:
