    Tire pressure on trailer

No, I mean the sidewalls may have inflation PSI information on them. My old trailer tires said specifically on the side wall, 'inflate to 60psi for trailer use'..... that sort of thing. Im sure someone here can get into the guts of it, I just know that a vehicle tire is different than a...

    Securing the Trailer

Im pretty sure I know someone who could build those or something similar... The concept is simple, and when done right, it can be very effective. I need something for my trailer too.

    Tire pressure on trailer

If you have tires that are designed for trailers, you may need to run them at 60psi. I had to run at 60 psi on my enclosed trailer before I converted it to an offroad trailer. Now that I run a regular mud terrain tire, I run 36 psi, same as I run on my Jeep. The sidewall should give you...

Warn winch owners, need a quick measurement please!

I too would be interested in hearing if this works. I rebuilt my 8274, but it needs a new solenoid box. ~ James

What kind of axle are you using on your offroad trailer?

Personally I run a Dexter 3500#, w/10" electric brakes.... but only because I got a great deal on it on Craigslist. I was going to use ABC before I found the deal. ~ James

Folding an (OverZone) RTT in the Rain: Problem for Mattress?

I dont have an Overzone, but I have had to close up my tent several times in the pouring rain, and its not fun. I usually just open the tent up for a few days in my garage to let it dry out. I have not had any problems with mold or smells, just dont like to take the chance. Also, my mattress has...

    cooper discoverer stt

Huh? 20,000 miles with half tread left on a soft MT tire, and you arent happy with that wear? How much do you expect to get out of an MT... I had a set on Tacoma, in 31 size, and they were a phenomenal tire. I am putting another set on my Cherokee soon as my current tires wear out. The STT's...

    tuff stuff synthetic winch line?

Im having a hard time even visualizing 3/4 thick line. I am thinking you could only get maybe 40 feet or so on a winch that would normally hold 100 feet of 5/16 line (what I currently run). Am I wrong in this or missing something? Is this truly the diameter of the line? While under a load or...

    My trailer build

Yeah... free steel is awesome. I could do a lot with that pile you got there! So, with airbags and springs, are you just using the main leaf to keep the axle lined up, and the airbags for weight support or?? Looking good... ~ James

    Vehicle donors for trailer axle (5 x 4.5" BP & 60-65"W)

I went to northern tool and hydraulic today and was surprised at how much trailer stuff they had. 4 whole isles full of everything you could imagine. They had about 15-20 axles in every flavor you can think of in stock too. Not sure if you have one near you or not.... ~James

    pull pal alternatives

I dig the idea, how does it work? Need a video... :D Also, what prevents this thing from allowing the entire mechanism of the jack to pull itself into/under the dirt? We all know how *well* hi-lifts work when they are clean, throw a little dirt into the mix, and the jack is almost useless until...

    Conqueror struts

LOL... I can imagine. They have to come off some way, I know on the my Cherokee, the ends are held on with little wire pins that are hard to see. Unclip the wire, slide it out, and then the end can come off the ball. Not sure what is on yours, but if you post a picture Im sure we can figure it...

    Vehicle donors for trailer axle (5 x 4.5" BP & 60-65"W)

Now thats a good idea... Couple stub shafts, and unit bearings. weld the stubs to the axle tube. Would be fairly easy to do. What about brakes? ~James

    Scott's M416 trailer build begins

I might have missed something as I didnt pick apart everyone of your posts, but what are talking about when you say you are getting quotes for the "tongue material'? Are you just needing prices for tubing? If so, why would you go to a Fab shop? Are they actually doing any work to this material...

What was the opening size in your wheels again? Any machine shop worth their salt can easily open them up for a few bucks, another option.
