Switching my life to "not Jeans". Can I get some recomendations for good NON JEANS

How quickly people forget. The 5.11 Tactical pant is a spin-off from Royal Robbins. The original 5.11 Tactical Pant was nothing more than the Royal Robbins 5.11 crag pants in a different fabric. The Royal Robbins 5.11 (climbing difficulty reference) was their answer in the late '80s to those...

For Sale: new style full zip Army duffles

The big flight duffles/parachute bags are different. These are essentially a sea bag with a side zip instead of top loading. I'm on my iPad or I'd put up a pic. They're kinda handy for tent/awning stuff on a roof rack. I may consider looking for a couple.

No, he is referring to the side-zip sea bags. You can find them all over EBay.

GoPro + helmet mount = brain injury?

The three of us are in agreement.

GoPro + helmet mount = brain injury?

After years of suffering helmet mounted NVGs, counterweights, and lights I am not concerned about the petty few ounces of an camera.

GoPro + helmet mount = brain injury?

So, if I wear my helmet just so, and fall just so, and hit a rock just so, the rock just might strike my helmet mounted Go-Pro in just such a manner than my already inpending brain injury might be more severe? I guess I should stop leaving in house.

    JKR skid plate FAIL

Maybe taking a better line over/around the obstacle is a better solution.

Jeep unlimited lift kits.... What did you do?

I originally went with a Teraflex 2.5" kit. I have since yanked all of the springs and am running OME heavy load 2" lift springs now. Once I started outfitting the JKU with overlanding gear the body just kept sagging until I was near factory height again. The +300 Front/+600 rear OME springs...

Zongshen RX3 (ZS250GY-3) at the Pomona Off-Road Expo today

I find it an interesting concept. A small displacement adventure bike, say in the 250-450cc range has never been an option till now. This is also the first that is anywhere close to fitting my 5'00" wife (don't tell her, but I think she has been rounding up over an inch). KLRs are cool, if...

    Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx

As stiff as they are I think it is a good course of action. I had the same issue years ago with some Michelins I had that were heavier and stiffer than the tire they replaced. Reducing the air pressure really helped in making them more road friendly.

I'd be curious about your tire inflation. Most spinning that have encountered on boat ramps is due to over inflation.

Interesting bike. 250CC, reasonably light, reasonable price, $3995.00. Interesting to me because there is nothing in that class sold here now.. They are currently awaiting CA CARB approval to begin sales.

Switching my life to "not Jeans". Can I get some recomendations for good NON JEANS

I bought a few pair of these this Summer, two pair in ripstop 65/35 and one in5.5 Oz moisture-wicking nylon. They are Tru-Spec 24/7 Eclipse Pants. So far I really like them. Careful shopping will find them well under $50 bucks.

WHICH BFG 285/70? KO, KM, KM2? Which Load Rating? Minus some specifics it's a spurious comparison. The Devil is in the details.........
