i've read the ones put into the range rovers are the better ones to purchase.
but i can't remember where i read that.
just out of curiousity, what is the weight of a Disco 1 or Disco 2?
Went out and played with mine for a couple hours. Had so much fun I didn't take to many photos. Only carnage was a broken fog light. its okay, i'm going to build a winch bumper for the front anyway.
that is pretty cool.
are those motors pretty close to the same size as the 4.0 V8 and 4.6 V8?
It would be pretty cool to have a oil burner in my Range Rover:elkgrin:

This thread is dumb.
I've had my rover for almost 4 weeks now. I've been doing some work on it. I bought it converted to coils already. The only issue i have had so far is a dead starter and replacing the underhood fuse box. get rid of the air springs and all the problems are gone. they...
just curious, maybe there are others who know chemisty better then me. Wouldn't battery acid eat the aluminum really quickly. i know it won't if you run the sealed batteries, but i think i would choose to use stainless steel instead. the weight difference will be minimal. and price shouldn't...
my range rover broke the same day i bought it. $300 later i was back on the road. I don't know why, but i just love my range rover. i have been in love with rovers for over 15 years.
i can work on any vehicle, so for me all i have to worry about is getting parts.
i just bought some stuff from
http://www.roverparts.com/
good for OEM parts and aftermarket. cheaper then the stealer. and since there isn't one around me for 500 miles. it works.
i bought a P38 RR. It died on me the first day of ownership. Just put $300 into it, and now the starter is dead. Tomorrow new starter, who knows what will be next. Its almost like owning a Jeep, just harder to get parts for.
i built my shovel about 8 years ago. I still have the damn thing.
i used an old shovel head, 1x1 square tubing and a welder. Cost =$0
:victory:
i just take out my grinder and sharpen it once every 3 years.
here is the one i'm considering.
i'll know more this week if i'm getting it.
98K miles. new tires. coil spring conversion. 4.6 HSE
needs a hood at sometime. merely cosmetic, it has hail damage. the rest of the vehicle is in great shape. everything works right on it.
