well, the friend i bought the motor from is letting me bring it back. he said i can have either a 304 V8 or a 360 V8. Both have two barrel carbs. both started up and ran fine. :elkgrin: which motor should i go for, both bolt in.

its a nissan I6 diesel. 3.3L kiki (bosch injection pump) T3 turbo engine code is sd33t or 6-33T the same engine was used in: nissan patrols, jeep cj10a, 1980 international scout II, and in forklifts. at this point i do not want to put that much money into this motor.

i can only get a rebuilt kit out of Australia. its $1500 plus shipping.

i'm not sure how many miles it has. when i inspect the cylinders with the bore scope i'll know what kind of shape its in and what else i'll be doing to it. atleast it has sleeves in the cylinders so it is really easy to rebuild.

replaced both fuel filters. no fuel coming up to the pump now.

well, apparently there is still a lot of crap in the gas tank. both of the fuel filters clogged up today. i barely made it back home. luckly i had some starting fluid that got me home. $20 later its running again its only been one week running and only gone through 2 fuel filters.:elkgrin:
