Artistic Shots- Well thought out, framed (positioned), artistic shots only please.

I liked the way these turned out, even though I'm no advanced photographer and photobucket sucks. Looking for some critiquing.

    The 3rd Gen Build

I still have the bench for now. I love 2nd Gen 4runner buckets so I am hoping I can find some. I dont mind the bench if it is in god shape but I like to have access to the ext cab area. The bench seat is kind of like a wall separating the cab. Thanks, I do think it looks alot better now, and is...

    The 3rd Gen Build

Yeah, I just dont like the fact that the 2nd Gen trucks get 6 mounting bolts while mine gets 4. I tend to overbuild. Im off thurs and fri next week.

    The 3rd Gen Build

So I got to work today installing the winch mount. It bolts to 4 factory holes on the crossmember. I will be adding a piece of angle just for the peace of mind of having two more mounting bolts. I had to trim about an inch off of the bottom of my grill. The bumper was not going back on in one...

    New to me: 87' 4Runner 4x4 SR5 22RE-5spd

That would make sense. A 31x10.50 TSL will measure out to almost be 33" tall when new. Thats interesting. I have run several 33x12.50 BFG AT's and they always measured out to be about 32.75". They do wear like iron. I couldn't tell you how many miles I have put on a set of AT's.

    New to me: 87' 4Runner 4x4 SR5 22RE-5spd

Yeah, very common size there. I have also had some 285's that measured out to be 33x11.00. Different brands will vary in actual measurements. BFG's tend to run shorter than they advertise, while Interco tires will usually be a bit taller than they advertise.

    New to me: 87' 4Runner 4x4 SR5 22RE-5spd

Well, mine are metric size 285/75 R16 and just happen to measure out to be 32x10.50. Metric sizes will vary. 31x10.50 is a great size though.

    New to me: 87' 4Runner 4x4 SR5 22RE-5spd

Most folks around here run a narrower tire. The main reason is because the narrower tire gives more pounds per square inch which equals greater traction. A 10.5" tire will have greater traction than a 12.5" tire but the wider tire will give more flotation. With my 22re and 4.56 gears I am...

    tankless hot water heaters?

Very nice, I like it. Those Titan tankless units are pretty pricey though. I guess my wife may go for it though if it means having a HOT shower for her.

    tankless hot water heaters?

I would like to see how you are doing this. I would like to do something similar.

    T100/Pickup/4Runner front end parts

I hear ya. I was about to buy some new bushings so I figured I would ask. They dont cost too much so I think I will just go with new ones, since mine have about the same miles as yours.

What kind of shape are the bushings in the lower control arms in?

You wont hurt anything when you drop the body down. Just make sure you unbolt the radiator first and be careful with it. When you get ready to do it let me know and I will help walk you through.

    New to me: 87' 4Runner 4x4 SR5 22RE-5spd

The original owner of mine used welded inserts to lengthen the shifters. You are ahead of the game if yours are still original. I bought $20 worth of hardware from Lowes to bring my truck back down 3". The bumper has a relocation bracket at the mounts that you just unbolt and take off. Also the...

    New to me: 87' 4Runner 4x4 SR5 22RE-5spd

Removing the BL is not bad at all. I just did it to my truck. I was going to recommend removing it but I wasn't sure what your view of body lifts were. I am not a fan personally, unless its like a 1".

Lowering my new rig for offroad travel

Thanks folks, I'm starting a build thread on it so I will probably keep it for a while.

    The 3rd Gen Build

Hey folks, I am continuing from my "rig lowering" thread and starting a build thread on my truck. I have decided to probably keep this one for a while so I will begin a proper build up. It is a 1995 Toyota Pickup with a 22re and a manual. It will be the base for a popup truck camper that I have...

    toyos

I just got a set of Toyo MT's on a trade. I have put one trip to the mountains on them and i really like their characteristics so far. I cant speak on longevity though. I just know they ride pretty good on the road and are plenty aggressive for what I need.
