That sounds interesting. I'll look for the write up.:coffee:
I started with a wire wheel under mine and then sprayed it with multi purpose black enamel.
I had a Toytec lift on my 2001 Tacoma. It wasnt coilovers though just the spacers and add a leafs. I think the components in my lift were actually made by Procomp or someone like that. Check and see if Toytec is actually the manufacturer, it might be the same as a bigger name company.
Wow! talk about deja vu! Just a couple months ago I trailered the SAME Cruiser home with my F-250. Same color, same interior, even the trailer looks the same. Good luck with it, I love mine!
Awesome shots man, love the oldschool interior! I have really got the itch! Trail Outfitters has already inspired me to buy a 60 series Cruiser, I am ready to see what he comes up with for his Chinook build!
You have to stop posting pictures now. You are making me drool too much!
I am curious how the power is in these things with the original motor? Sluggish?
Has anyone ever put one of the chinook campers on a newer Toyota mini truck? Like an '04 Tacoma with a 3.4?
That was an awesome episode! Ive have seen similar done to an older XJ. It took a beating and kept on going and going. XJs have sloppy tolerances but are full of heart!
Its all in good fun, I love both manufacturers. Hey Jeep is all American!
Yeah, they issued a recall on the head gasket. My 91 runner had already been taken care of by the dealership when I got my hands on it. They had replaced the head gasket but they also did a full top end rebuild at no...
I do believe that Toyota has consitantly built more reliable vehicles than any other car manufacturer. I'm not delusional though. The 3.0 was nothing but crap, I have owned one. So was the "ABS" system on the 2nd gen 4runners. Toyota definitely isnt perfect, but I think they have done a better...
It can be debated all day long but when it comes down to it Toyota makes the most reliable vehicles in the world. Now if you want to keep the JK for the cool factor, then definitely go for it. A 4 door Jeep is very cool.
Edit: Root Moose, I also see that you have stuck with the reliable...
X2, I 'd keep whichever is paid for or close to being paid off.
If that isn't an issue then I would keep the Taco over the Jeep. If you are planning on keeping this for a long time the Taco will be more reliable. There are already concerns about the long term reliability of the JK. I have had...
I saw one of my wife's friends on the side of the road the other day. She had a flat in her Kia and did not have a jack or lug wrench. I got her spare out and realized that it was just a tire.......no rim.
The car was too low to the ground to properly use a bottle jack. I used the hi lift about...
When your loaded how much does the back sag? I havnt taken mine on the maiden voyage yet. My suspension is all stock right now. I was thinking of shackles and man-a-fre add a leafs.
