Do you feel the need to have a weapon when camping

Yeah, it was not a political question so why do folks feel the need to share a political opinion? Whatever. On your topic I think you may be limiting yourself some with the 6 pack.

XJ going from 5.5'' to 3.5''/4.5''

If you want to cut it up then by all means go for it. All mine have been cut. You can make the stock flares work with trimmed fenders too.

XJ going from 5.5'' to 3.5''/4.5''

I havnt seen the 4.5 + 32 combination personally but I dont imagine the rubbing would be all that bad. The back is no big deal anyway. I think that would be a good way to go for our man here. 32x10.50 is a good size too, especially when you consider that Interco generally makes their tires...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Couple pics of the new XJ on my poser rock I have in the front yard. Nothing special, just a trail Jeep.

XJ going from 5.5'' to 3.5''/4.5''

4.5" is a good height on an XJ. My buddy has 4.5" on his daily driver running 31x10.50s with nothing trimmed. The 31s fit perfectly inside his fender when fully stuffed. There is only about 1/8" of room on the back though when they are in there and if he had 32s it would scrub. Only when fully...

    Cherokee or Grand?

I had a 98 ZJ with 4.0. I didnt have any issue with the power. The issue I did have was all of the other stuff that kept failing, mainly the transmission. It was a sweet truck though with great articulation. EDIT. Oh yeah, and Im fixing the rust holes in the floor of my current 88 XJ right now.

XJ going from 5.5'' to 3.5''/4.5''

Ive got the perfect solution for you. Ill trade you my 3.5" lift for your 5.5" lift and you will have everything you need...........

    Cherokee or Grand?

I get 23mpg hwy out of my wifes stock XJ. My old 96 XJ with a 6.5" lift and 305s got 17 mpg hwy. I think 20 mpg on 31s is very realistic, if you keep your foot light.

Pulling the trigger on a Zuk

Sold the Zuke. A guy came by and made an offer I just couldnt refuse so I sent it down the road. Bought another XJ with the winnings. So starting a different build......

    For exploration, not necessarily expedition

Ah, I see now, I missed that one. Nice trailer though, that would go perfect behind the Blazer. Tan with white steel wheels would be a very good look for the Blazer.

1speed, the trailer looks orange to me, is my color messed up on my computer?

    For exploration, not necessarily expedition

Awesome purchase! That body style Blazer is one of my favorite vehicles of all time. I also nearly purchased one two weeks ago but the guy would not respond to my calls when it came to go and pick it up. Good luck with the restoration, that will be a very fun project.

Pulling the trigger on a Zuk

Thanks for the info, and welcome to the site! I just joined over at Zuwharrie, are you active there? So does your friend with the 20r carb have it mounted on a 1.3L? Do you know how the power was compared to a Weber? PS: Puddlejumper, welcome to ExPo as well and I noticed you have some parts...

Pulling the trigger on a Zuk

Good advice and I think I am pretty much inline with your thinking. I am working on a very tight budget which is why the free 1.3L is sounding so good to me right now. I will be using the truck as a moderate trail truck. It will be towed behind my F250 to wherever camp will be setup and then...

Pulling the trigger on a Zuk

Has anyone ever seen this Samurai truck? I would really like to see a build on it.

Pulling the trigger on a Zuk

Thanks for the info. I have been a Toyota man for a while so I am used to underpowered rigs. I dont think it will be as much of a shock to me as it is for some folks who are used to having too much power at their fingertips. I always said build it tough and underpowered and youll never have...
