    travel trailer

I saw the Adak at overland expo. Really nice but expensive and too heavy for me. I have a Tacoma to pull with. I too keep looking at the Livin lite

    Utah M416a1 trailer slow build

Try something like this. Just some scrap steel to extend it so that it reaches.

Dust proofing a DIY trailer? Is this possible?

Pouring rain, driving at 70 mph and no leaks. All day on trails at low speed and still no dust. But to keep everything clean with blowing winds at camp the above mentioned bags or tubs are a must.

Dust proofing a DIY trailer? Is this possible?

I won't say my 416 is "dustproof" but pretty close. I have a lid with a heavy duty gasket from an auto body shop my neighbor runs. It seals so tight it is sometimes hard to open the lid due to the seal. That being said I also keep most of my gear in rubbermaid tubs in the trailer. In...

    Utah M416a1 trailer slow build

Saw your question on the shocks for the lid and I think he has a Sierra 4x4 lid as do I. Probably center mount on lid and about 8" away from edge of tub. I have a RTT and I used 175 lb shocks. Hard to get started (mostly due to seal) but works great otherwise. Hope this helps.

M 416 spring over parking brake repair

There are some pictures of the springover and the shock mounts and shock data on my old build thread. I run 33's but if I went to 35's I would probably get rid of stock shackles and use old CJ3 extended ones. Just my 2 cents.

    M416 trailer initial build help

I don't remember ever seeing a hub conversion. Most of us either change the whole axle to get the pattern you want or get spacers/adapters. I used my original axle as it matched my CJ. When I went to my Tacoma I ordered adapters from USWheelAdapters.com in Aurora, CO. He is familiar with the...

M416 built to go with my JKUR

Tennjk the trailer looks great and I like the lift system. Winter is a great time to work on these things. Mine has been sitting for about a year now and my son has taken control of it but I am going to do the same thing and work on improvements during the winter. These things are never done.

    Looking for M416 trailer lid

I have a Sierra 4x4 lid and it is great but others have had problems. I would agree to check with Cascadia. I have seen Cascadia at OX and they make a fine product. Fit is always an issue as most M416's are not straight on the top rails or square. Most use 1" angle iron and weld on the top...

M416 shackles, other than stock C's?

Yes they just press in by hand. Nothing like the M416 ones.
