    A sister for my M101A2

Mark: Texas isn't much better. While building the trailer, lid and mounting the RTT, the project became a neighborhood watch program. I had people doing their nightly walks, kids of all ages, and of course all the neighbor guys, hanging out, asking questions, and drinking all of my beer in...

Skersfan's New Shuttle Pod Trailer Build...

I got a chance to take a detailed look at this thing @ EXPO. Nothing beats hands on look. If I didn't already have money into my M416, I would be buying one of these. Very well made and rugged. Cannot wait to see the build for #1.

    Trailer lid lifting struts

Lid stays open with no problem. Hard to get open due to gasket making a REALLY tight seal. I have to push hard to get it broken loose but once it does it goes up pretty easy. Have to pull down about the first half and then the rest of the way is on it's own with no problem. Before I put the...

    M416 B1 s/n 555 - Here I go!

There are a number of good tailgate builds on here and I would look for those. Also I would call Chris @ Sierra 4x4 and ask him how he does his. He is always glad to help although he will probably tell you not to cut an M416!!!!!!!!! I have had the same dilemna for the last 2 years.

Update: Well the tent was put on and tested. Before the state park test we decided the tent needed lights so IKEA here we come. We picked up a $20 set of led lights with a 3 output box. We cut the transformer off the end of the cord and put a 10" LED light strip on each output and zip tied...

What a great story about you and the trailer. I am about finished restoring mine and making it into an expo trailer for my son. It will mostly go to car shows with me. He and I have spent a lot of time on this project and have talked about how it is now part of our family and one day his...
