That is looking really nice and can't wait to see how this goes back together. I noticed boxes on the inside already. Are you going back original or changing the layout?
Wish I had the space to do that kind of teardown. My HOA is not fond of my garage work. I got a nasty letter for my M416...

Good buy.
To solve the wasted space on each edge, maybe you can build 2 interior boxes and then push each to the outside and secure. The gap in the center could be a storage area as well. Just a thought.
Good luck on finding them, I never could and that was about a year ago. I still had the old ones and I finally just had some new ones made. I had 2 pair made in case I ever need another set. I cannot remember how much I paid but I am pretty sure I ordered them from here...
Saw your comments over on the M416 axle thread, including talking to US Wheel Adapter. I know of one person locally (Dallas,TX) and several on the forum that have had them made there so I called US Wheel this morning. As you expected there is no standard part number. They have done several...
Rebuild of axle is easy. It is built on CJ3 parts. Plenty of sites and just an evening of labor. The flip is easy to do at the same time since all the parts are off The whole hub/brake assembly is held the the axle flange with 6 bolts. Just spin it 180 when putting it back together. This...
I am not knowledgeable enough to comment on the cause of the flip but it did make me nervous since I have an M416 with a springover and a RTT. My RTT is only 5" above the 6" lid but still........
I went out to the garage last night and tried to turn the lunette by hand----no luck. When I put...
Mine is on both sides behind the fender. We just got back from OX12. 17 hours of highway time each way. Other than a little tire sling we had no damage. Agree, make sure the cap is on the tank connection.
Talked to Fimco just a little while ago. Their official response is "there is nothing in the system that will hurt you, but we did not market it as a water supply system".
I am thinking all is OK for drinking and mostly it will be used for dishes and showers as I usually carry another 14...

Here is a 15 gal sprayer with a 1.0 gpm pump for $89. Seems that all I need to do is adapt for quick disconnect for kitchen head or to plumb to hot water unit. Am I making this too simple?
Great info guys. Pictures would be good as well. You are convincing me to buy the L5. Anyone hooked it to a spray rig that you can buy at a farm and ranch store? These usually have a 16-25 gal tank on them and the pump is already hooked up. I am thinking of replacing my three 7gal water jugs...
Anyone use the Eccotemp Water heater L-5 on their trailer? If so, what kind of water pump are you using to supply the unit? Did you find one that works and do you have to make adjustments for the psi?
