Yeah, relay is 200A and cables are 2 gauge jumper cables. That has worked so far.
The relay will cycle a dozen times or so during the day, then a bit more frequently in the evening hours as the solar array starts to fade.
Battery is what would fit in my old cabinet, and does pretty well for...
Hiya experts. I'm at a spot where my experience and electrical theory meets my lack of experience in the realities of fancy AGM battery charging. I'm a bit worried that I'm setting myself up for less-than-optimal charging with my current setup.
For a couple of years now I've had the T-Maxx...
OK, I don't have an answer for you, but I can get you close, so some more catalog digging, etc. should get you the rest of the way there.
The switch is part of the "General Purpose E-line" of Cherry Snap Action Microswitches:

I agree with robgendreau above, but here's my best recommendation:
Since I'm OCD about knowing where I'm going before I get there, I tend to make "pre-tracks" in google earth. Import your waypoints (however many you have) into GE, then use the track tool to connect them in whatever way makes...
Now we need the same comparison with an NV. I think it's obvious that the NV "nose" doesn't protrude as much as a fullsize truck. I think it's a "happy medium" between platform length and interior volume tradeoffs.
Another related issue w/ front engine vans is footwell room and how that...
Not usually true. Systems set up for assisted-GPS will still work without the data component, but will usually take MUCH longer to acquire the initial lock. Those of us who did GPS back in the early days aren't phased by a device taking 5+ minutes to get initial lock, but it makes most modern...
As always, size the fuse to the WIRE. Find the maximum current carrying capacity for the wire you've got installed (or plan to install), and fuse just under that. Anything larger and you're not protecting the wire from over-current. Anything too far under and you're wasting capacity and could...
I'd guess it all comes down to how you want to use it. Where is your "living" area, what activities will be done on/in/near the vehicle? It also depends on how the tent is constructed with regards to the entry door.
If you're going to use your tailgate as a counter for cooking, etc., then...
Thought I should take the time to document how I mounted a locking rack for my solar panel to the roof of my van.
I have an angled pop-top, and we use our van as a mixed indoor/outdoor space most times. This means that I'd prefer to pick where I park (and in what direction) based on criteria...
I believe several US members here have (or had) Kimberley Kampers, which are of this style. Worth a search on that name...

I recently bought one of these so I could also use it as a folding mini-fire-pit since we camp in places that don't allow ground fires, but after seeing Switch's hand-built unit, I wished I'd done that...
Holy heck Aaron. Subscribing to this thread, if only so I can eventually get into the "How far did he get" pool.
If it were me, I'd see if you could add backpack straps to one of the small rotopax fuel containers! ;-)
