That's a heck of a post-if I was going to only make one response, one that would tell "my side of the story", I would make it clear and concise, not tell a story that leaves people (at least one) wondering ****** did he say?

Looks great! I too immediately envisioned a short with the strap, you can't protect against stupid and lots of OEM are metal, but the OEM are lots narrower, and presumably their lawyers have deeper pockets :)
What about blowing the same strap out of a non conductive fiber board?, rivet a...
I just re read this and I'm confused, forget the molds and the business start up, why the Frick can't he just put the sweat equity into putting it back together?
I'm not a violent person, but I'm pretty sure I would be going to jail if this happened to me.

Wow, not even remotely what I expected to see here. That sucks, I wish I was in a position to help, I definitely would help you get it back together if there were not a couple thousand miles in the way
Sorry dude

Decided to go with the Magnum battery monitor vice the Trimetric because it uses the Magnum remote for the display vice a second device. The kit I got included the same Deltec 500amp/50mv shunt that many use with the Trimetric, this is where most of the accuracy comes from anyway.

Here's the 110 panel, 20amp breaker on the shore power side, and 15amp going to the GFCI outlet for the ARB(the inverter has a bypass relay that feeds shore power straight thru) The GFCI will also daisy chain to the outlets in the upper section.
The Magnum remote showing that we are floating :)...
Here's the Magnum 1212, the two black SO cords are the 110v in/out. They go to a small panel that's behind the fridge slide, and also accessible from the flip up counter top over the fridge.
You can also see the Blue Sea battery switch on the battery box. I'm getting the DC shunt and class T...
Spent the day putting aluminum on the flip cabover panels, didn't finish (typical day, get half of what you wanted done :) )
Was able to do it in one piece which is nice only caulk needed at the corners.

Wow, good choice, nice contrast and a very clean look.
I like wood, but thought your original doors were too dark.
Your build is very nice, if I was independently wealthy I would be banging on your door with buckets of money in my hand.

Nice looking set up there!
I don't have a stock backup camera, but I did install a Hopkins aftermarket one, I love it. I have an extension cable that I will use when the Alaskan is on the back(my camper is 1.5' longer than my bed)
I may just get a second camera to leave on the camper instead...
Welcome from another Ram/Alaskan guy, nice rig, I like your parents setup too, Inc boat and barn:)
Be careful of the mods, they get out of control:)

I'm a Ram guy, but the one thing besides more payload(typically) that the Fords have over the Ram that makes them better for a truck camper IMHO is the extended cab(or whatever Ford calls them) . Stills let's a small passenger ride long trips, or a dog or lots of food, but much shorter than a...
So I found out a cool thing from Magnum yesterday-even though the 1212 inverter does not have the correct connector port to be compatible with their battery monitor (ME-BMK) according to the BMK manual, a normal phone cable splitter will allow the remote and the BMK to be plugged into the same...
Got the inverter fired up tonight, no smoke :), all seems well , I was a bit surprised that is was a bit noisy, I had found a few reviews that I thought said it was quiet.( might be thinking of the Xantrex Freedom HF??)
Thanks for the confirmation, I am wiring the DC to the charger today, I will put some lugs for a shunt in the Negative and some for a T class fuse in the positive. Right now I have a 200amp Blue Sea battery terminal fuse that I will use for testing. I can just bolt the shunt lugs together for...
