My DIY solution to the UEV 440

Awesome build, I will have to go back again and read in slo mo. I hear you re build threads, they don't get many replis for the views, but people love em. I like the mountain graphic, maybe not that exact one, but that idea, just not angled. I'm not getting the tent sock, is it like a gutter...

    2000w Inverter Charger price choke

It looks like the major benefit of the charger/inverter combo is the auto transfer between shore power and battery for AC loads, that a pretty neat function, but i can live without it. Looks like a Samlex 80 amp charger is around $485 and a 1000w pure sine inverter is 2-300 Sent from my...

    2000w Inverter Charger price choke

I may have to go with separate devices just due to the size, the 2000w Multiplus is 20" long, it's certainly cheaper to go with a separate charger, but it's hard to compare apples to apples quality wise. Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk 2

    2000w Inverter Charger price choke

That does look promising, still more than I wanted to spend, but I am willing to pay for quality, I am still researching whether I should go with separate devices for inverter and charger. Thanks for the heads up Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk 2

    2000w Inverter Charger price choke

I have yet to do the electric in my Alaskan truck camper build. I had decided that I would spend what was necessary to do a quality build, 2 AGM GC2, solar, shore power etc. I never thought a 2000w intverter charger would cost $3200!(Sensata Dimension 12NP20) I found cheaper Tripplites for $800...

Linear Actuators - Anyone replace the Torsion with them?

I'm drawing a blank on the thread titles, but one was slick, it had an upper section that lifted up exposing the windows, this was done for security I recall because he was going on some epic trip with it. Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk 2

Linear Actuators - Anyone replace the Torsion with them?

It's been done, there are at least two scratch built lift up roof campers here that use them. I have an Alaskan camper hard side popup that I ordered actuators /control box and remotes to replace the original hydraulic system. I ended up sending everything back, the actuators didn't seem that...

Adding propane to FWC shell - ideas?

I don't know if it's just fear, or there is real data, but I just don't see propane seeping thru the plywood walls of a well constructed, well vented compartment. This is the thought process I used when I made mine. I do have enough room to add an aluminum lining, but I don't think it's needed...
