    Snow Peak Addiction

Hmmmm. Well, I'll play with the adapters this weekend and see what happens. If I can't work it out I have a feeling that I'll pull the GS-220 and use it in the IGT as intended. Will let you all know if I find a solution. Thanks.

Well, I used the SP griddle on the GS-220 yesterday while converted to standard propane with the adjustable Kovia adapters. It kinda sucked. The burners were either off or medium. Burned the crap out of my bacon. :( I'll try to turn down the internal regulator on the Kovia adapters to see if...

    Snow Peak Addiction

Barista set hack I was monkeying around in the driveway today (getting ready for the first camping trip of the year) and decided to see if I could make the Barista drip fit inside the Barista kettle. I could! When the parts were stacked, I put a mark on them where they touched the rim of the...

Ah...burn bans. Didn't think of that. I'm sold. Ordering one now. :)

I'm tempted to get the gas grill. What's the general consensus here? Gas grill with cast iron vs charcoal BBQ? Not sure that I need both.

I'm pretty sure it's real and think I'm going to keep it. It's only a little bit crooked. :)

Oh yeah, here are the instructions. They look a little cheezy too IMO. What does everyone think?

I'm going to return it tomorrow and order one from SP. When the "real" one arrives I'll compare them carefully. Now, I'm not saying that mine is a fake, but you hear a lot of bad things about Amazon these days. Personally, I try not to order anything from Amazon that costs over $50.00. I'll...

Cool. The plate is flat now. It's the support structure underneath that is "not level". Seems a bit cheezy to me. I suppose I could do some grinding to the scissor arms that hold the plate to make it level. We will see how much it bugs me. :chef:

    Snow Peak Addiction

My BBQ box arrived today. It looks a little "crooked and rattly" and doesn't seem like typical SP quality. I bought this from Amazon (which I usually avoid). Anyone think I got a factory second...or maybe a counterfeit unit? Or, is this typical of the BBQ box? It really rattles and floats around...

We have a big campout on Easter weekend. I'll "cook" the protective coating from the griddle this weekend and give it a test drive to see how it goes. If it warps during use....I'm not gonna like that. I read a lot of reviews on the Partner griddle. Everyone seems to be in love with them, so it...

OK, if anyone is interested, there are some detailed pics (in order of installation) at the bottom of my build thread (in my signature). Last three posts. Not fishing for clicks or anything...just too lazy to post the same thing twice. :)

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

Stove posing After the install I had to drag out some of my Snow Peak toys and take some pics. Here is some of the Cast Iron Duo kit and the large fireplace griddle on the GS-220 for size reference: With the griddle in place (lunch and dinner mode): Normally the stove grates sit down low...

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

More of the stove install One of the reasons I wanted the Snow Peak stove is that they make an iron griddle that is meant to work on this stove, and I suspected that I could mount the griddle to the stove itself while fitting it all inside the stove storage area of the JeepKitchen. Checking...

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

New Snow Peak stove in the kitchen I'ver recently been infected with the Snow Peak bug and decided to mount a GS0-220 in the JeepKitchen. I removed the Partner Steel stove and gave it a shot this weekend: Had to disassemble most of the stove to bolt it down: Then drilled down through all the...

I think the griddle is iron. Just not cast iron. It's certainly heavy. Bolting the stove to the slide-out was just pure evil. :) I'm posting some more detailed pics to my build thread and will let you all know when it's up. Took about 5 hours and 30 bucks worth of stainless parts overall...

    Propex furnace not firing

Cool. I have also found that it's best to connect the 12 volt last. If you connect the propane line, but forget to open the propane valve...then it it will sometimes do a lockout. I think. Someday we will have digital readout on our Propex heaters that will just tell us what's wrong with them. :)

Has anyone found a small colander that will fit inside the Cast Iron Duo when nested? I think it would be pretty cool for boiling mashed 'taters. I'm going to begin the hunt.

Cool. Thanks for the directions. I do have the fire pit. Maybe I'll fire it up later today and give the tray a good baking!

    Propex furnace not firing

Propex My newer Propex had a similar problem. The fan would start as soon as you applied power and run forever. Sometimes the heat would work too. Sometimes it would not. Weeks of troubleshooting finally lead to the fact that at least one of the wires had backed out of the long electrical...
