Dual Battery System with CTEK D250 not charging battery over 12 volts.

Thanks sir. I'll look into the specs on the Victron. My hope is that I can simply add solar without having to redesign the entire system.

Dual Battery System with CTEK D250 not charging battery over 12 volts.

Interesting thread. I currently have a National Luna Power Pack and am about to add a 125 A solar array to maintain a 125 AH AGM at camp. Thought I haven't tested it yet, the array has a PWM controller at the panel and is said to output 18V. I assume this is 18V DC. Doesn't say explicitly...

Crazy plans for an Eezi-Awn Globetrotter?

I've decided to leave the Globetrotter on the Chaser. Last weekend I took the Scamp camper and found that having a bathroom and hot water was very nice. Soooooo....I'm going to use the Globetrotter for a privacy area/bathroom. Since it already has propane and battery power I thought it would be...

    12 volt heater thoughts?

Email this dude. He usually stocks an adapter that will change the Propex fitting to American pipe thread and can sell one to you. He is an official American Propex dealer....I believe. :)

    Advice on trailer vs teardrop

I have an RTT on my 2 door JK, an off-road trailer with an RTT on top, and a 13 foot Scamp camper. I'm loading up to go camping this morning...and I'll be taking the Jeep & Scamp combination. Turns out that I like to have a bathroom and a place to hang out if the weather goes to crap (Scamp)...

    Snow Peak Addiction

The GS 220 is still there. I'm going to monkey around with the regulators this weekend to see if I can get the heat down a little on it.

    Snow Peak Addiction

That is a darned-good idea sir. I was very hesitant to play Dr. with my expensive pot. ;) I bought this for $10.00: Pulled it's ears off and wound up with this: It isn't sexy, but it will work for the campout this weekend. Fits in the bag too. You are a genius! I will custom-make one out of...

    Snow Peak Addiction

Got a question for you all...I like to boil small potatoes in the largest pot included in my SP Cast Iron duo kit. The problem is that I don't have a colander in the Jeep. I'm thinking about neatly drilling some 1/8 inch holes in the set's lid so that I can easily pour out water (for spuds...

James Baroud mounted to '10 Subaru Outback OEM roof rack - bad idea?

I have had my Baroud on my 2016 Outback. I chose to buy some Yakima landing pads and new round bars. They won't cost too much and you can probably find something similar for your 2010. I'm 250 lbs and didn't have any problem being up there. But, I didn't have any company.

    Electric Chain Saw???

Today I took a change and bought the Stihl MSA 200 C, two "300" batteries, charger, bar oil, extra chain, and sharpening parts. Found a decent place to put it in the Jeep too: It's sitting on top of the National Luna Power Pack lid. I'll have to dream up something more stable for it. This...

    Electric Chain Saw???

I stopped at the local Stihl dealer today. They had the battery saws in stock. The are TINY! The website said that they had appr. 12 inch bars...but they are really thin too. Kinda looked like a toy. Looked at the MS 262 again too. It sure is purdy. If only there were some way to try one...

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

I missed your reply. The rack doesn't squeak when driving or using daily. It only squeaks when closing after being open for hours and hours. Not a big deal. Perhaps a grease nipple would fix that problem though.

LOL. I guess you could say that. The Jeep is only used for camping these days. It's too top-heavy to be a daily driver.

Alu-Cab Has Landed In The USA!

About how long does it take you to install the Awning kit when on your own? Is it do-able..or a PITA?

Alu-Cab Has Landed In The USA!

I might. Still mulling it over, which means that I probably will once I've put a lot of thought into it. In my picture, the northern most wall (with the big window) will follow the line of the awning arm there. The wall can be attached to that arm, probably with some velcro (riveted to the...

Alu-Cab Has Landed In The USA!

OK, yeah...I'm the type of guy that replies to his own post. :) I received my Shadow awning and installed it. After doing some measuring, there is hope for an enclosed wall kit. This is what I'm thinking (using the wall kit that we can buy from Alu Cab): Sorry for my childish annotation. I...

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

Thanks sir. The rear of the Front Runner Slimline II rack actually passes through the figerglass and mounts directly to the roll bars. It's a heck of a lot of work to install, and is somewhat permanent due to the fact that you have to drill a handful of small holes through your fiberglass top...

    Electric Chain Saw???

I appreciate the input from everyone. I was a cabinet installer for 15 years and have spend a lot of time running electric and battery powered saws (usually with all the safety equipment removed). Perhaps this is why I'm so hesitant to purchase a gas-powered saw. The idea of grabbing a battery...
