Of course, if this is the first time you've let it sit for a couple of days in a row since winter and the battery died, it might pay to charge the battery and have someone perform a load test on it. Maybe it's getting weak. Maybe you grabbed two week batteries in a row by chance.
I spent a week...
Charge your battery, put a DC ammeter between the positive post of the battery and the positive battery cable. This will tell you if there is any current draw when you THINK the car is at rest. If there is a current draw (like anything over .2 amps) pull one fuse out of the fuse block at a time...
LOL. How, exactly, does one academic ask another to donate poo? "So Dr. Pupenstein...would you considering providing us with a small amount of your excrement for our exhibit? Delivery in a small mason jar would be preferred, and please take care not to get any on the sides. Thank you so much!"...
Not cheap, but have you seen these?
I have one and love it. Very packable, but heavy as all hell. The coolest unexpected benefit is that the smoke tends to go over your head. Waaaaaaay less smoke-in-the-face than a ground fire.
If you plan to keep the vehicle long-term, I would recommend a transmission cooler. If you plan to keep the rig for a couple-three years...I wouldn't worry about it unless you wind up towing heavier trailers on hilly terrain.
Just my opinion. That said, I did opt to spend the time and money to...
Thanks for the info guys. My propane tank is attached to my rear gate, and if I want to get the fire out from under the awning (without detaching the propane tank) then I'll need a hose of at least 12 feet. 15 would be better.
I thought it best to ask if I can get the hose length I want when...
Old thread, but does anyone know how to contact the owner of Quickfire ? I can't find ANY contact information on the site. I would like to buy one, but a six-foot hose isn't going to do it for me. I need appr. 15 feet of hose. Almost that time of year again!
Holy Crap! (pun intended) That might be what I've been looking for.
Flame me all you like, but I don't like dooky. Not even my own. Not crazy about dooky-related chores either (dumping, cleaning, etc.) I don't like paying dumping fees or the time it takes to stop at an RV park and mess around...
Just a though. Knock the nest/hive down again, and wipe that spot lightly with a rag (sprayed with RAID)???? I am assuming that this is a hard area (like the bottom of the plywood) that they are building on.
I would rather put up with a little RAID fumes for a couple of days than wonder if I'm...
We have camper with a three-way fridge. It's a PITA. Have to start it up a few days before you leave, make sure it is on 120v. Get the temp right. Check it every couple of hours. Get ready to leave, switch it to 12 volts. Get to camp, switch it to propane. Cheese is too warm during the day...
I'm not sure that is the case these days. I tried to have them make a custom-sized dutch oven (to fit in a drawer). I was told that it would need to be cleared by the fabrication team and I could expect it to cost 4 to 6 times the MSRP of the standard size. I declined.
Too bad. I really wanted...
I was going to give the solar panel a charge during a trip this weekend, but I haven't ordered a solar controller yet. Is it going to fry my AGM if I charge it with 18 volts DC? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
Must have a method to store a steak. Grill a steak. Burbon to go with the steak. A comfortable place to sleep after.
But the Inreach is pretty important IMO. Might avoid spending a day or two in a place you don't want to be if you have one.
