I do believe it is. However, there are a couple guys over on the Ford Expedition forum that have recently bought, paid for, AND took delivery on their bumpers. So under new ownership, they may have turned a corner. But as with anything online: buyer beware.
The tread pattern looks similar to the ATP/AT3 tires. The sidewall is a little different.
I have the ATPs on my Expedition. I've been happy with them. Didn't get a chance to try them in much snow since last winter was pretty dry. I did get a deep gash in the sidewall while on Black Bear Pass...
I'd disconnect and try it before removing completely.
While Buliwyf says "good to go" because on his rig he removed them....... unless you're driving the exact same vehicle with the exact same mods, it's impossible to say. And who knows, maybe he's comfortable with more lean than you are...
And there is a badge on the door that looks like the Ecoboost badge. But I'm sure that they offset the license plate to allow for airflow into the intercooler.
Drove my 1st gen Ford Expedition down it last week. Easy peasy.
The only part that had a mild pucker factor is the freeze frame for the 2nd video above. Apparently called "the steps". The switchbacks were easy- even in a full size.
And while I was in this corner of the state, I really wanted to do Black Bear Pass. The mystique of this trail are the switchbacks that are stacked right on top of each other as you descend the steep mountain down into Telluride. I've watched a bunch of videos about it. I'd seen larger vehicles...
