Hey guys! Fancy meeting you here!!!
The OME springs are "direct replacement" springs so the length and pin offset are the same as stock. So no other mods will be necessary to install them, unless you want to do a u-bolt flip kit or longer shackles. One of my favorite upgrades is sleeve-ing (is...
OME makes a nice replacement spring. You can get them in zero lift or 1.5" lift and they only cost about $90 each. They also make them in different spring rates. Light, medium and HD
I just found them last year, or more accurately, decided to try them, and I really like them. High quality...
Dana 60's fit under Tacomas and 4Runners. It's a tight fit around the 4.0 V6 oil pan, but they actually tuck up nicely right next to it. I have never built a V8 truck with a D60 so I don't know what the OP is up against, but I suspect he's in for a bit of trouble.
But...judging from the pics...
I weld every day and I am still learning. I figure if I'm not learning anything new, I may as well get a job.
But yes, every weld takes a different approach. You can change your welding pattern 4 times just going around one tube joint. And if you don't remember to do that, then the weld is ugly...
That's really nice.
A couple comments - for using jumper cables, I have been coating my battery straps in rubber (that dip stuff that comes in a can) to prevent any shorting while jump starting. Also, the Optima batteries have the terminals so close together on top, it scares me that the strap...
So you're looking for an internal schematic of the Carling switch? Have you tried Carling's website? http://www.carlingtech.com/switches
Painless should be able to get you a schematic of the switch offered in their own kit, but if not, try tracking it down somewhere like http://www.mouser.com/
Yes, the motor is from a '91 Toyota pickup (22RE), the trans is a cast iron Toyota 5 speed (shorter than the aluminum trans) and it has a RF1A t-case with 5.0:1 gears. The axles and wheels are skinny 1985 Toyota and the diffs are TRD electric lockers.
I'll PM pics and my email address.

It's funny. I built that truck before forums (2004), so no, there is no build thread.
I have had that question asked so many times that I ought to start compiling my pics and start a thread for it.
Thanks. I have the 4Runner here now, along with a new to-do list including bumper mods, tube fender/exo style fenders, heavy flywheel, brake upgrades, etc.
They didn't stop production, they were just in transition. They moved their machining facilities from Northern CA to AZ and their headquarters to UT. A lot has been going on with Inchworm, but they are still producing some the most innovative Toyota geartrain parts available.
I hear they have...
Well let's just say he's a Toyota enthusiast. The owner of this truck has a few of them, all trucks, including a 600 HP 2008 Tundra 2wd, another Tundra 4x4 work truck (we're doing a SAS with FJ80 axle and radius arms on this one soon because he keeps breaking (!) balljoints), but the truck most...
