2.7 is a V6 ;) SCAB and SCREW (5.5' box) have the same wheelbase of 145" so should perform the same off road.

To offset the cost of moving to a 3/4 - 1 ton why not start out with a premanufactured camper instead of custom build? Lots of people use them to tool around with. See videos posted above for example. Might save you some time and money and get you out there faster!

Was that while towing? Looks like @skrypj had a 1st gen Ecoboost. Possible the overheating issue was present then and solved later on?

My 2022 F150 doesn't have it. It was removed from the build due to chip shortages. Works for me!

It is. ;) This was the day we picked up our new to us Norther Spirit 2758RB. So hadn't had a chance to play with the WDH settings. Truck was loaded with firewood and water tank was full. Trailer packed for a week of camping. Towed better than my '15 F150 w/ 5.0L 3:37's towed our 5,000 lbs wet...

What's your payload rating om the F150? Even maxed out, my Ecoboost / 10 spd combo does a great job towing. Much better than my old 5.0L with 6 speed and 3:73's.
