Yet another tire questions... but this one for rain on cement...maybe some snow

I had a set of Bridgestones that were horrible in wet. I called them Brickstones because they had about as much traction as bricks.

Michelin M/S2. Quiet on the road. Great in snow. And I've never had any issues in the rain with mine.

Out with the old in with the new! Van build for the fam

That thing is so big! Can't wait to see it progress. As I get older, I find myself enjoying larger vehicles. But I'm not quite ready to give up my 4wheeling capabilities just yet.

    GMT-800 Suburban lift options?

If looks count for anything- I think it looks better. The smooth sidewalls and rounded shoulders of the old highway tires just didn't look right.

Photos of mid-sized vehicles - Post Here

Just a quick day trip. At some point I actually flexed so much that my front front came out. I had to back up to the point of max flex to get it back in. This was taken after we got it back in and rolled forward so it would stay in. I really need to get my hi-lift jack mounted in case this...

    Expedition Squared build

Decided to take this rig to the mountains to do some pew pew therapy. I went to this area about 18 months ago in my Mariner and this hill wasn't quite this dug out: The rest of the trail was just slow whoopty-dos. The suspension seemed very soft. I can't help to think that the RS5000 shocks...

    H3 on a college budget

Looks great! If you were to redo it you could go with thinner material on the sides to gain a little more room and save a little bit of weight. If you incorporate some sliders into the bottom you'll thank yourself.

    Strategies for weight management

Remember the Pontiac commercials? "Wider is better." I'll agree to upgrading the vehicle. I've stuffed a family of 4 and a dog into Saturn VUE for a weekend of camping. When the kids are small you can use the space in front of their feet. I've also taken that same family of 4 but with 2 dogs...

    Basic rigs?

Yep, I run both ham and CB. If I'm with the day wheeler crowd, they tend to be more CB oriented. If I'm with the overland crowd, they are more ham radio. And my CB set up cost about $110. Radio, antenna and antenna mount. My ham radio set up cost about $70. I think $20 of that was for the...

    GMT800 Rear Sway Bar Question

I don't think that's the problem. I'm guessing the bar passes close to the diff cover in factory trim and Stryder is trying to put on a bigger/thicker cover and it's hitting the sway bar. If that's the case, I'd look into getting a spacer made to space it out away from the axle. Probably...

    GMT800 Snorkel Install

And I use that same snorkel on my Explorer. Works great for keeping the filter clean. If I get in deep enough to actually use it for water, that water is DEEP. Water around here doesn't get that deep- unless I drive it into a lake on the boat ramp......
