I know a guy who had a new Jeep Grand Cherokee with HD factory radio. The HD seemed to extend the useful range of the station. He could toggle between standard and HD. Behind the Hog Back, a station was fuzzy in standard but clear in HD.
I wouldn't fuss about it.
When it rains, where does all that water end up? Let's just say a local trail with a stream crossing sees 1000 rigs on it in a year. That's nothing compared to the millions of cars on the roads in the city nearby. And when it rains, all those billions of oil droplets on the roads get washed...
Yeah, go with the Hankooks. No one here in CO runs the Yokos on the trail. They are a decent pavement pounding all-terrain, but i have never seen a set on a trail.
Is the rear diff still open?
31s with 4.56s. It'll be rev happy on the highway. It'll launch from a stop but top out on the highway (I used to have 30s and 4.56s).
We tried the hammer method (although it was just a framing hammer) on the forward and aft side of the T-bar. We didn't have great access to the front and the CV boot was in danger of getting whacked. A longer steel pipe would have worked better than what we used. When I was hammering the aft...
For a long time, the Destination ATs were ranked #1 on Tire Rack in the on/off road category. Now they are #3:

Except the salt here isn't like the salt in the midwest/east. Or maybe it is, but it's so dry here that it doesn't have the same effect on metal.
Both are great tires. I think the BFGs wear better (ie longer) than the GYs.
Looking at the numbers, I'd have to agree. If you buy from Discount, they will mount them and you can check for clearance issues right there in their shop (I've done it) before you buy them. I doubt .6" taller (from centerline) is going to cause problems. Width is tougher to tell because of...
Were you planning on installing yourself or paying someone? I've never swapped torsion keys (only tightened them) but springs are relatively simple enough- except for the potential of rusty fasteners.
If you were thinking about paying someone, I could help you and save you that cost...
I don't know much about the 2nd gen Expeditions, but they seem to be fairly good vehicles. Somewhere around that year range had some issues with cam phasers in the engine- but I really don't know much about it since it doesn't effect mine.
Check out ford-trucks.com and expeditionforum.com has...
So you're saying that if the camber is different side-to-side it won't actually make a bit of difference in wear? And if the weight of the vehicle is different side-to-side (like say on a bunch of Fords that have the driver and gas tank on the same side) then swapping side to side won't make a...
I honestly don't think it matters. The point of rotating tires is to expose each tire to every corner of the vehicle. The tires don't really care which order they get there.
