    Perfect Horn for Motos

I use mine to remind myself that the turn signal button is 1/2" lower than the button I just pushed (which was the horn button). This is particularly useful when wearing heavy winter gloves.

A "Shocking" decision to make..Bilstein's or Fox?

It all depends on which is valved appropriately for the application. They are both good brands.

Difference between Jpeg vs. RAW explained

All that stuff that you wrote up there ^^^^, is why I'm a hack with an outdated camera.

    Batteries for Dual Battery systems?

What are you separating them with? My 2 starting batteries (diesel) are identical - old school flooded, non-maintenance free, off brand batteries. My house battery is a Odyssey AGM. There is a National Luna charge controller separating them - and I haven't had any problems with them being...

Difference between Jpeg vs. RAW explained

Ha! I don't even try to set my WB. I do it all in post. Of course, I'm just a hack with a cheap outdated camera. :gunt:

Difference between Jpeg vs. RAW explained

For the average person (not to be confused with the average photographer), I agree. RAW is simply overkill if you are taking a few snapshots of the family reunion to put up on facebook or photo-bucket. But, if you are going to be post-processing images anyway - RAW gives you a lot more to work...

    Expedition H3

I spent a little bit of time in the ARB H3A a couple years ago. With their drawer system, fridge, roof rack + a weeks worth of camping gear, I felt that the stock suspension was pretty much overloaded. It wallowed around quite a bit off road - but was pretty comfortable on the improved roads...

    Jumper start packs

I wouldn't call it a 'must have', but they do come in handy every now and then. I wouldn't put much faith in the air compressor - it's gonna be slow.

    Propane Tank Safety: Overfilled?

If you over-fill it, you should bleed it in the orientation that it was designed to be filled -- in your case, bleed it upright. As a side note - you can get a general idea of how full it is by pouring hot water over the tank. You'll be able to feel a temperature change at the point where the...

Camping air dryer for the lady

If a hair dryer is what it takes to keep the wife or girlfriend happy while camping - then that is all the justification you need. I'd look towards golf cart batteries (6v, so you'll need to tie them together in pairs) . . .

    Stanley Thermos Warranty *review*

If it takes you more than 3.5 hours to drink a thermos full of coffee - you need to drink a little faster. :coffeedrink: OK, seriously though . . . My Stanley thermos is going on 20 years old (1992) . . . and it still works pretty darn well. To say that it has been around the world with me...

    Kermit Chair

One note on the leg extensions: Initially I didn't really care for them. I didn't mind sitting close to the ground - but when everyone else is sitting at 'normal chair height', and you're rockin' the low-rider . . . the leg extensions (as ugly as they are), keep you from having to look up at...

Wannabe like you Question or 2

Yes! Absolutely the right answer. I do the same when I'm researching [what ever]. Information off of the internet should always be vetted.

Wannabe like you Question or 2

Disclaimer: I'm not a trailer-building guru - not by any stretch of the imagination. That said - 2 x 4 x .120 HREW for the main frame & cross members. The 'base' of the trailer, if you will. Anything above that should be built to support what ever load it needs to support. I would look at...

New FWC layout - what do you think?

You have to keep in mind that you & Roseann are not the average couple. I have trouble imagining 'living in' our Granby - let alone a tacoma sized version. A few weeks - sure. A few years - nope. We get along very well - but we'd strangle each other. Or go insane - which some say we are...

Wannabe like you Question or 2

Depends on how much weight you are putting on top of the frame, and how that weight is distributed. If I were in your shoes, & was planing for a simple 'general purpose' trailer, I'd be looking at 2 x 4 x .120 HREW.

    Considering a Bike - Suggestions?

$2500 will a lot farther today than it did a year or two ago. It won't put you into BMW or KTM range - but it doesn't sound like you are going that route anyway. The small bikes, as mentioned, are great for zipping around town & the back roads - but really kind of suck if you need to cover...

HOW-TO: Paperwork Required for a Vehicle Permit in Mexico

For what it's worth, I've encountered different requirements at different border crossings. For example, Tecate doesn't require a vehicle importation for motorcycles that are in the bed of a truck, or on a hitch-carrier -- Nogalas does (one permit & fee, with all 3 VIN numbers listed on it)...
